Thanks for the signatures. All three look great. My favorite is the 3rd signature. It looks like the tank ended up submerged in a lake. Like in SBeasts. Harhar.

Personally, I like the existing logo with "STEEL BEASTS" at the top. However, I understand that you may want to use the logo in other games/forums, etc. and do not want to be restrictive. But, Steel Beasts IS the reason we are here. As far as the various examples, I do not like the 'cyrillic" style. The backward letters just grates my eyes when I look at it. Initially, it looks like a spelling mistake. And we are not Russian! And just having "VIRTUAL" at the top leaves me feeling that something is left out. Virtual is an adjective and needs a noun to be complete. Are we "Virtual Dogs of War"?. Not to sure about "SIMWAR" either. It is an abbreviation for what we are doing but...

The VU came together originally for SB. However as time has gone by other Sims, strategy and war-games have been added to the group. I have felt for a long time that the current logo may be misleading. Some of our members do not play SB. Therefor a generic logo is the best way forward.

We have not decided on a final amendment and all input is appreciated. If you have any ideas then please do not hesitate to contribute.

Whatever is decided, I appreciate the artistic ability of PanzerEast. I agree with Conn that our core simulation is Steel Beasts; however, we are able to operate in other environments such as Arma, DCS, and Insurgency to name a few. I do like Latin mottos since I'm a retired Marine (Semper Fidelis). With that in mind, I thought "Semper Simulatus" which basically translates to "Always Simulating" could be used. Just my two cents worth and in no way am in love with the idea.

Just a thought, but how about virtual fun, virtual war simulation, virtual simulation, or immersive simulation?
Maybe for more words to make it a circle instead?
If I had to go with one that was already thought of and on the list before my post, I would have to say pugna simulatus, or real simulation/s.
I am not too sure about the Cyrillic text either, but will decide that when the final motto is picked, and see what it looks like.
I think it should be more about the motto, then about how it looks. It needs to encompass what we are now, and where we are going.

Using mix of different kind of letters, even Cyrillic makes it more clear that all are welcome. Not just ones from west. I like first one especially since of those Cyrillic ones.

And to pick one from your list, it would be "Immersive simulation" for me.

I have to agree with Connaugh to some extent, I used to play SB but have switch to ARMA 3. I think if you want to have Steel Beast on it so be it, If you want it to be ARMA 3 so be it also. I would like to have a insignia ARMA 3 so that I can display it on the uniform.

But this is just my 2 cents

Nothing is decided yet and all input from DOW members is equally valued and appreciated.

We did originally start off as a SB group. However we have grown and some members have joined that do not have SB and may never want it. A more generic moto that is representative of our group is the way forward.
