How to display BMS maps in Tacview?

With Tacview 1.6.3 beta 1, you can now display your own custom textures and orthophoto in Tacview!

For this example, you will need the Korea VFR map which can be found here: http://users.skynet.be/bs999158/F4download_navigation.htm

Save or copy the jpeg file as:

C:\ProgramData\Tacview\Data\Terrain\Textures\ONC_kneemap_korea_4096_print.jpg

Download the xml file: http://www.tacview.net/download/CustomTextureList.xml

And save or copy it as:

Code Select Expand

C:\ProgramData\Tacview\Data\Terrain\Textures\CustomTextureList.xml

Relaunch Tacview, make sure BMS terrain is automatically or manually displayed and you should see the Korean low-level VFR map!

Feel free to edit CustomTextureList.xml to add more BMS maps in Tacview based on the theaters coordinates which can be found in:
