The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released photographs of a Japanese mini-submarine that was sunk at the very beginning of the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941.

I had heard of the midget submarines that were part of the attack on Pearl Harbor, but this is the first time I remember seeing a photo of a sunken one.

The attack on one of these submarines was pictured "Tora, tora, tora", which was one of my favourite war film years ago.
