Invention of the Century. Saved countless lives. Loss of an expensive plane ... cannot be compared to a loss of a human life. A life's worth ... impossible to quantify. A plane can be replaced. A pilot?

Many brave pilots have waited to until the final moments and sometimes to late to eject so they can save/limit the loss of lives due to the impact.

Thanks I enjoyed watching it. Its amazing our own frailty. These guys are some of the best educated & best trained people in the world & a moments hesitation or bad decision leads to destruction. I am sure some of the crashes in the vid there were extenuating circumstances but most seemed like bad decisions.

Indeed! There is an exception to every rule though. How did you like the Mig21 pilot that ejected on take off? The plane just lumbered along for awhile before appearing to crash amongst some buildings. I was like "what the hell are you thinking???"

Some tall pilots have had fatal outcomes with ejections! Due to there legs hitting the front cross-beam of the cockpit.
