4 Generals met to lead their men into battle.
Our new members, KlausVarna and Herr Paulchen, decided to fight together against Colbert and Sandman.

The fight was supposed to let them setup a prussian defence against a french attack to the objective, which at this time was situated in a deep forest area, which made it a bit uncommon, especially concerning cavalry tasks.

Unfortunately KlausVarna dropped out of the game during the approaching phase due technical issues with the powerline.

Therefore we setup a quick training battle with a meeting engagement (initially line of sight). This kind of battle tends to be chaotic and nevertheless bloody intense from the scratch.
The French, commanded by the Generals Colbert (Division of Jermome Bonaparte) and Sandman luckily started topographically higher situated than the prussian commanders KlausVarna and Herr Paulchen, who had to pass a through a small valley leading creek to approach the close objective. Since the French had not to cross a creek, they managed to occupy the objective before the Prussians and could keep it most of the time, once interrupted by the Prussians leaving it neutral for a short while. Furthermore the french could depoly a battle line on the opposite elevation beyond the creek. When the engagment ended after about 90 minutes, the steadily and fiercly attacking Prussians sufferend about 500 casualties more than the french side. Especailly one of the flanking maneuvres conducted by the prussian Generals at the western? front, brought the french Division of Gen Foy in trouble and nearly could become a turning point of the battle, until the french cavalry brigade of Huber, supporting the threatened flank, repulsed the attack.

Finally the french side prevailed, but what was the outcome, if the starting positions were exchanged?
