I actually had a question. I remember from Getysburg that you could give orders using the map. But I can´t seem to find how to do it here. Maybe I´m wrong?

better post questions in the "help" section of the forum, so other people could find it, if they have similar issues. 

regarding commands onmap:

LC commander or unit
press N or choose command map from toolbar
LC on destination on command map
choose formation (forming at arrival) and perhaps facing direction (at target) by LC the small compass of toolbar
if desired, additionally click "use road" order from toolbar
