You must apply in advance. For this rule is set for good reasons, not having signed up until 19.50 GMT latest, means you wont play. If you signed up, but cannot make it or arent sure you can make it in time, post it here! When signing up, you declare that you most probably will be able to participate and that you are ready to play at 20.00 GMT latest. If you re not sure that this applies, dont sign up. You still can inform, that you might come, but in any case, confirm until the given deadline.

20.00 GMT is the starting time for the MP game to be launched! It is NOT the time when we begin to meet pre battle. Make sure you appear 10 or at least 5 minutes before 20.00 GMT. Joining the host after, but before 20.00 GMT latest is only tolerated. Keep in mind, that not letting wait your comrades is simply a matter of respect!

It was a very close and bloody fight with about 80.000 troops on the field and over 18.000 casualities for the allies.

Most of my infantry was volunteers/militia and suffered many losses against the french guard. We, Paulchen, Klaus and myself could compensate it, by occuping the objective from an early stage until the end of battle and a couragous counter of Paulchen (Picton) and Klaus (von Oels) with elements of my Cav and Inf in the final phase.

Probably there was a misunderstanding between Paulchen and me, cos the basic order was for him to always stick with Klaus for covering the southern flank. A bit later I asked Paulchen to scout at the objective, which was meant with only his officer and then return S, but not moving with his whole Division to the objective, because the basic order didnt change and for scouting purpose the troops arent necessairy. He didnt need an own escort, cos along the road to the objective a lot of friendly troops were marching.

Its always a dilemma to find a balance between compactness and detail of dispatches to other officers. In this case scouting doesnt mean deployment. But as Paulchen once mentioned, its an important part of the excitement of our battles to interpret the orders and transform them on the field in a meaningfull manner.

Finally the Allies succeeded closely. Good fight!

This scheme does not reflect fully the whole course of the battle. But it shows the main dispositions which have developed closer to the end of fight.

I made a mistake when he translated the order of Sandman. I've decided that I need to move North and protect the facility. As a result I was in a reserve of 70% of all fight. I was waiting for the moment when I needed my strength in the decisive direction. I helped Klaus in part in his fight by the river. But soon it became clear that on this direction enemies killed each other. Then I went back to defending the key point again. And then I saw the large forces burst into the facility from the South. I strongly gave the enemy all of their fresh forces. And then the game ended.

Thx for that scheme, Paulchen. I want to add the following points:

- 1 of my Inf Div (Cole) and 2 of my Cav Bdes were N of Klaus, NE of the Obj. I was located S and had to leave the control of these forces completely under AI control.
- 1 of my Inf Bdes (Kruse) was occupying the Obj all the time and didnt get involved in fighting, which actually was exciting enough for those greenhorns.
- So finally I defended the S with 1 Inf Div (Decken; mostly volunteers/militia) and 2 Cav Bdes. Another Cav Bde (Merlen) was mostly ineffective after the early engagements with french guard Cav.
- Colberts french regular corps (Reille) in the N should have had nearly the same strengh as Biondo´s corps in numbers.
- Biondo told me that he was confused, because the S was exposed (after I told Klaus to move N to unite with Paulchen) and then counter Colbert. But he probably was concerned it could be a trap. On the other hand he might wanted to avoid a huge spread of the formations, rather than trying to exploit the gap S. Nevertheless he seized the major hill SE of Obj where the allied corps-artillery was bombarding from for like 1.30 h.

At the request of Klaus made a small change to the schema.
- his division was completely destroyed .
- on his right flank was part of the forces of Sandman (who then retreated to the rest of the forces)

He also added Sandman's cavalry to the flank of Colbert.
