In development

TF-104G: two-seat training version of the F-104G, seats in tandem, Martin Baker ejection seats GQ-7, NASARR radar, no cannon, no sub-hull pylons

Early work in progress screens

Playing with TF & PBR.

Starting to separate different materials (radome, stencils, anti-glare, intakes ,screws ,ecc) A bit tricky but funny

Wonder of the moment..

With TF,you'll be able to switch between a "fresh paint" or an opaque camouflage. This will be implemented for a lot of details like scratches, wheels dirt or clean, paint weathered, tires worn or new,and other features, simply with a click.

This is just a quick tryout to test this new feature,it will be deeply refined in future.

Differences between Federal Standard colours (opaque) and RAL colours (earlier camouflage,semi-glossy)
Besides the surface finishing, the overall tones are slightly different.

Detail

One of the features that the 104 had was the characteristic "flutter" triggered by the presence of the wing-tip tanks under certain AoA, G and speed conditions.

We were able to reproduce it satisfactorily as the video shows.

Aereolastic phenomena are caused by the interaction of inertial, structural and aerodynamic forces on the aircraft.
A consequence of the aeroelasticity in the TF-104 G is the "wing tips flutter", oscillations around the lateral axis of the wing tip tanks when they are mounted.

We have succeeded in reproducing the phenomenon in a sufficiently precise manner, in flight it will be easy to see the tips that oscillate depending on the angle of attack, speed and acceleration of gravity (force "G").

The amplitude and frequency of the flutter vary according to the speed, the number of "G", the angle of attack and the percentage of filling of the tips themselves

The flutter is not visible or very limited if:
the wing tip tanks are not mounted
the underwing pylon tanks are mounted with still a relevant amount of residual fuel
flutter is not visible in multiplayer mode by others players

"Stencilling still incomplete and to be finished properly, something missing, something on wrong place,it's just a draft."

Weekend detailing.

"Note: we are working on external model only.

The cockpit (like pilots, seats, canopy fairings and other stuff) needs to be done from scratch, and it will be accomplished as soon as we finish the external part."

After the Dogs of War are let slip, let us smoke the Pipes Of Peace.
