What kind of graphics? I have some experience, I made the counter set for Decision Games Computer War in Europe II. I also created the counter sets for the Cyberboard game sets for WIE and the GDW FitE/SE module and my counter work was used in the War in the East 1st edition VASSAL module. I have used a few editors.
Started playing board war games around 1975 or so and computer war games around 1995 or so.

Some of the counter artwork I have done over the years:

DG CWIE2

France 1940, breaking the line...

North Africa 1940

Poland 1939

Fall of France 1940

I created these counters originally for CWIE2 and also for my WitE 1st edition Cyberboard module:

Some modifications I have made to TOAW IV:

Zoom 2:

The overall effects (note I have also tweaked the counters in this game, using Hex):

Example 1:

Example 2:

And lastly my work on the GDW (GRD) Europa module that I made, it's only for FitE/SE/Urals:

The historical setup of the 1941 CG:

And from the 1943 dead pool:

Started playing board war games around 1975 or so and computer war games around 1995 or so.

Zovs,
Those Maps are sublime.
Do you have a retro board style for TOAW, or is it only the counter mods?
again, incredible work here.
I've pushed many pixels in my time, but these are boss level.

(Actually, realised I've also sung your praises on the Matrix forums also ::) . Except there I had to change out my name after the slitherine/matrix forum merge. (Magpius)).

Asid

Nice work Zovs  :thumbsup

Thanks for sharing

Thank you for the kind words Asid and Agent Smith.

For TOAW I used another users map mod and another users user interface mod and then I tweaked the counters a bit from another mod.

Oh, I think I remember you Magpius. Gotcha on the merge.

If Ron wants to use my services he just needs to call and I can see what I can do...

Hello,

I am back online with a fully functional house after the winter storm in Texas.  Monday night, I slept in my truck with the heater on all night and the coyotes circling!  As my friends said, I am not the first cowboy to sleep in my Chevy truck all night.  It was 9 degrees F outside, and 32 degrees F in the house. No power, no water.  Even though I have read many accounts, I can't imagine what the solders went through on the Eastern Front.

So today is a #102 day, all day.  I am getting close to finishing that.  My plan is to just share that file with the community on this forum. Asid, I will need some help to know the best way to do that.  I am looking forward to getting back to coding the changes.

Hope all are well,
Ron

Up until the recent event, I'd always thought a bad Texas winter was when temperatures dropped all the way to double digits.

Hi Ron,

Any update on the main file development ?

Hi Schwerpunkt Valencia.  Your timing is amazing.  Tonight I finished data entry on all units in #102.  There are 3399 units in the scenario.  I have a file on Designer Notes to share with the community now that describes the numbers for each country, how the #102 units were selected, how they enter the game, and other information on new rules to be coded.

I still need to develop the expected points and replacement points for #102 scenario.  I am working with Asid to make the files available to the community.

I want to thank the community for their patience.  Its been a long road, but I see how to get to "scenario complete" now.

Does the siege artillery causing impact on defense/fortified positions also if line formations arent attacking yet?

I assume this applies here, but there are SIMs in which the results of actually present heavy batteries are only calculated when engaging by direct contact.

Who we were

Good question.  The scale on the game is 7.5 hexes, so all artillery fires only on the adjacent hex (in the enemy target ZOC).
The range on Thor, the German long distance artillery used at Sevastopol, is 6.2 miles.

Stand by, ASID is working this.  He will be sharing the Designers Notes, the scen102.txt file and the scen102.wwe files.

Out of curiosity, how many folks have Microsoft Teams (there is a free version that can be downloaded) and would like to have a session to talk about the WWII-Europe game.  I have the free version, allows 100 people on at a time, and allows me to share my screen and talk about the game development.  If you are interested, then send your email address to schwerpt@gmail.com and stay tuned for when the first session would be done.

Thanks,
Ron
