Allied Force Theatre

Italy and the Balkans is a pretty interesting area to fly around , great scenery and mountain ranges !

I was eagerly anticipating the official FSX@War Balkans Theatre , it looked bloody awesome !

For whatever reason it never came to fruition , Doh! So I'm building my own .

Here is the start of my Theatre , so far I've created one single Airbase - Brindisi . Gotta start somewhere

The FSX@War Balkan theatre was at an advanced stage. It would have been great if they had released it

Yeah real shame , what those guys can do is way ahead of what i can do . But i'm not waiting around , and i really want to fly military stuff in that region so hence , making my own .

Gonna really take my time with this one though , working on 1 or 2 things at a time and i'm not moving on untill i'm happy . lots of historical reading to do and maps to check out . P3d and Fsx@war has limitations of course , but i'm trying to get things right as much as possible so its a slow build .

New military ramps added .




Nice easy access to the runway 

Side by side , not too shabby . A pretty good representation of the RW Brindisi Airport .


I need to think about frame rates so I cant go mad placing objects everywhere . A few more tweaks and I think I'm there with Brindisi AB .

Upgraded all the afcads using google earth to get it as close as i can while still keeping it pleasing to the eye , added plenty of destructible buildings and some p3d buildings to give it variety . Samsite placed where it should be and added AAA , manpads , Shilka's etc . Pretty pleased with it tbh .

Its a beast to take down , the scenery is flat and open fields so it's very easy for the defenses to paint you . Anything other than the Superbug is really challenging and its alot of fun to take on . 

On to the next one soon , might do a factory of some , sort not sure yet .
