SOW Regualr Saturday Play

I am organising a session which will take place every Saturday. The time is possibly 20:30GMT or 21:00GMT.

This is for active DOW members or by invite.

This is one of the reasons that the Saturday session will be "tailored". So many people turn up unprepared, even though posts have been made, pm's sent and even chat on TS in advance. To make matters worse, they do the same again and again. We will have the following:

•   Assembly on our TS channel at least 10 minutes before session start.
•   Proper use of TS. No hot mic.
•   Mods ready to go. List will be in the post. The list will be the same each week.
•   Game start time of 21:00 (that's when we will launch)
•   2.5 hour session.
•   HITS
•   Courier for in game communication.

These sessions will be small in player numbers.

Invites will be sent out so check pm's.

Other sessions will continue during the week as usual.

Is 21:00 the optimal time for the majority? A 20:00 or 20:30 start would be better for me personally but I understand if there are some who need to begin later.

10mins beforehand for getting ready is quite short. For PvP games I have found that longer is needed for team planning. If you are doing co-op vs AI then 10 mins should be plenty.

I understand what you say. We will fine tune this. It is an attempt to prevent the many waisted hours in the lobby. There is no real excuse if a set of mods is published with the rest of the session details  in advance.

We have people from different time zones so organisation is a must to avoid frustration and waisted time.

The holiday period has disrupted the Saturday play. Christmas eve and New years eve.

I will try this Saturday.

Things will return to normal every Saturday in the new year.

We will also play sessions during the week.

The holidays are getting in the way of our normal play. You should keep an eye on this forum for session announcements. There is also a bit of setup you need to do in advance. I have sent you a pm.

You will have to meet up to check the setup first. We have learned that this is the only way to preserve immersion and fun with minimal disruption.

Not sure how I missed this thread...

If you have room for me a regular Saturday SoW game would be good for me as well. Now that the holidays are all but over my time is once again my own so Saturdays are usually pretty open but if we could have a firm start time so I can block off that time time to the Sargent's Major that would be good.
