Tue, 27 September 2022

Squad v3.3 will be released on Wednesday, September 28th

Attention Squaddies,

Tomorrow we are releasing Squad v3.3.

The v3.3 update will focus on bug fixes, gameplay and user interface (UI) updates, map updates, and overall focus on Quality-of-Life improvements to the game. This includes an update to the Vehicle Recovery System to allow helicopters and some other vehicles to be reset, the addition of a new Russian MT-LB Amphibious variant, the introduction of a new HUD toggleable list for Squad leaders to see the status of each member of the squad and many more small changes that we hope you'll appreciate.

Weve made a whole lot of other gameplay changes which are listed below in the Changelog, as well as addressed numerous bugs.

Squad v3.3 will be released on Wednesday, September 28th.

At ease, Offworld Industries

Sinai Village Capture - US Army v1.0.1

Original concept by UlyssesSockdrawer - redesigned by ben

I SITUATION.

a. Enemy. A Syrian Army Mechanized Infantry Company is defending OBJ EAGLE. They are supported by a BTR scout platoon, a T72B tank platoon, 152mm artillery, and engineer assets. We expect to see the BTR scout platoon in a screen line across PL CHEVY and the attached tank platoon to support the defense of OBJ EAGLE. We anticipate the enemy being dug in, with engineer support via local disruption obstacles on the objective. We may also see the enemy reinforce with a reserve company of T-72s if OBJ EAGLE is theatened to fall.

b. Friendly. Friendly forces are assembled along PL GM (Line of Departure) and are composed of 2x tank platoons, 2x mechanized infantry platoons, 1x scout section, and supported by organic 120mm mortars in their Mortar Firing Position. It is imperitive to seize the OBJ no later than 90 minutes to support a Brigade attack along Highway 6. Follow-on forces must pass through OBJ...

The mission was to be carried out by the forces of 38A's left flank with the main effort directed towards Olkhovatka. Opposing 38A's planned offensive was the sector of 377ID, where the enemy held carefully prepared defensive positions. 240RD, 104RBde, 253RBde, 86TBde and 150TBde were the units initially assigned to the mission by 38A command.
A successful breakthrough at Olkhovatka would have enabled the Red Army to advance on the west side of the Don, along the German Don frontline, towards Voronezh. To prevent this, the 377ID's main effort in September was to establish and strengthen defensive positions in the Olkhovatka area, which was on the division's right wing and in the sector of 769IR.

Two operations - 16 turns for each side (Olkhovatka-Gnezdilovo, September 15-17, 1942), dedicated the Soviet offensive northern...
