I tried the simulation of the so called "stressed skin" for the first time - and ran in some issues. I scratched to hard into the surface and the effect might be a bit too strong. Beside this I spent a lot of time in riveting the fuselage and wings. It was a great experience with this very beautiful kit from Airfix.
The metallic surfaces are simulated with several paints from alclad II and accentuated with metal powder from Uschi van der Rosten.
For detailing the engines and antennas I used material from Albion Alloys.

Regarding the music I tried something dramatically and experimentally irritating theme. Hopefully it's not too pathetic..."

What a beautifully crafted video and an amazing complete B-17 model. The artwork is fantastic. What a beautiful plane the B17 is.

The video is like a Pingu video or a Aardmann Animation (Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run) short movie. Stress and rivet lines/points were etched into the body and wings with great detail and loving care. Insane! At point 7:12 you can see some intricate needlework involved! Only a maniac or a super dedicated modeler would spend all that time snapping stop motion images and piecing them all together into one riveting (pun intended) video. A true master-class act. Kudos and applause!!!
