eSim Games is happy to announce the release of Steel Beasts Professional, Personal Edition – version 4.019.

Due to some last minute changes, only the release notes for 4.018 are available, but they are more than 99.99% accurate, so don’t worry about the mismatch. 

This is a full installer, not a patch.

The Challenger 2 has a better interior. Though it has no textures. It's something

4.019 has enabled me to check off the following from my Steel Beasts wish list (I've kept adding to the list, just so you are aware):
AT-5 from the same man-portable launcher as the current AT-4
Start using SHA-256 hashes for the downloads section of the eSimGames website

And I'm happy to see this bug fixed:
Fixed bug #5084; the CV90/40 gunner will restore the old TIS focus settings on the human player’s return

Edited to add another thing checked off my wish list.

I could wait so I downloaded it already. It has a few changes such as new 3D models and interiors. Frame rates are also noticeably better, although it was announced.

It should have been mentioned in the 4.019 release notes but I thought I'd post here too.

It is important to make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date.

We saw some issues in testing which were fixed by this.

The graphics driver issue seems to be of elevated importance for ATI/AMD cards (Radeon series). Of course, having up to date drivers never hurts, irrespective of brand and model. But it was noted during the beta test with Radeon cards (if I observed this correctly).

Yes, the ground clutter performance is something we hope to improve. The easy solution is to turn the ground slider down to default in the mean time.

FWIW, I see comments like 'I like it but I hope you guys don't stop improving it', and now 'I hate it and I hope it is changed'  -- there is no reason to think that we are going to stop tweaking anything (for better or for worse).
