Hello everyone,
apologies for my English – I'm writing from France, using a translator. I'm having trouble with the movement sequence, particularly the 'move to exploit', which is triggered during the movement phase, whilst the breach in the enemy's defences occurs during the combat phase. What's the point of having two moves during the movement phase (when the unit intended to exploit the breach will surely be positioned just behind the attacking units) and only one move during the combat phase to exploit any breach?
Secondly, if the unit intended for exploitation is already behind (adjacent to) the attacking units, how do you set it to 'move to exploit' without actually moving it? If I click on it, then select the 'move to exploit' order, I'm forced to change hexes to gain that status. If anyone could explain this mechanism to me, I'd be very grateful.
Another question: how many casualties can a unit sustain before it is eliminated? I haven't been able to find this information.

Hello,
First the easy question.  A unit is eliminated when its losses are equal to or greater than its Defense Factor.

Move to Exploit is a move type that allows units that have not been in combat to move three times in one phase.  So the best approach is to attack with selected units to open a breach in the lines.  Use units right behicd thes to Move to Exploit.  Below is the list of operations available during the Ground Move Phase:
Ground Move Phase:

a.    Ground Move to Attack (moves ground unit that can attack in combat phase)

b.    Ground Move No Attack (moves ground unit twice, but no combat)

c.    Ground Move to Exploit (moves ground unit three times, but no combat or dig-in)

d.    Ground Strategic RR Move (move ground units on railroad hexes only)

e.    Ground One Hex Move (moves ground unit one hex with fewer terrain restrictions and no combat this turn)

f.     Dig-in (improves defensive posture of ground unit)

g.    Standard Op – Display OOB

h.    Standard Op – Highlight OOB

i.      Standard Op – Change HQ link

j.      Standard Op – Allocate Reserve

k.    Standard Op – Split Division or Corps

l.      Standard Op – Reform Division or Corps

x.    Standard Op – Convert Railroad Hex

y.    Standard Op – Destroy Railroad Hex

m.   Standard Op – Rebuild Destroyed Unit

Hope this helps,

Ron
