I purchased this a couple of days ago and I am just starting to focus on food production.  (e.g. I'm waiting for spring having built a farm)

Really enjoying it so far, and watching Katherine of Skyes video's for tips.  The only issue I've had so far is that for some reason I can't alter the camera angle.  The middle mouse wheel on my mouse doesn't seem to work as a middle mouse button so I'm stuck watching the game at a fixed angle.  In my first game I made the mistake of zooming out to get a maximum view of the area, and the camera automatically slid into top-down view, and then i was stuck like that for the rest of the game, which was really frustrating.

Hopefully, at some point the WASD key arrangement will be supplemented by a camera angle adjustment (Z/X or something) as the middle mouse function seems a bit dodgy.

Hi Didz

I have not installed the latest version yet. Hopefully I will get round to it and be able to report back.

It does show a lot of promise and depth  :thumbsup

Just completed my first in-game year and sowed the seeds for this years crops.  I find the crop rotation idea quite clever. Need to watch Katherines video on livestock management now to work out how to get chickens and cattle.

There you go then.  This is my village just after the spring planting.  I'm currently building a boat house on the river in order to begin fishing.

I'm using the six field crop rotation suggested by Katherine of Skye.  So, Wheat; Potato; Fallow; Sunflowers; Hemp; Fallow in rotation.

My first fishing boat is delivered.  Time to start selling dried fish to the villagers.

I am not sure I can think of another game which employs such a deep farming mechanism as this.

Thanks for the screen  :thumbsup
