Although I don´t know much about the other games in the higher TIER, TIER 1 dose call my attetion beacuse of one game, Kholat which is based on a true story, I did have a look at it when it came out and at this price well G.A.S...

Narrated by one of the most popular British actors, Sean Bean, Kholat is an exploration adventure game with elements of horror, inspired by a true event known as the Dyatlov Pass incident – a mysterious death of nine Russian hikers, which led to countless, unconfirmed hypotheses. Dyatlov Pass incident was a real story that happened in winter of 1959. Nine skilled alpinists went for a trip to the northern part of Ural Mountains, which ended fatally. Bodies of expedition's crew were found scattered on slope of Kholat Syakhl.

Russian investigators closed the case stating that "a compelling unknown force" had caused the deaths.

I don't know how well it has aged over the past twenty-four years, but it was a great game in its day.

Fans of games set in the Pacific theatre of operation during World War II might want to take a look at Task Force 1942. But for $1.74 U.S. you can hardly go wrong.

Hello Everyone,

I'd like to apologize for the state the game was in at the time of initial release.

Here is what happened.

The month this game was released was a very difficult period for me. I had to port a lot of games to Steam in this month, 30+ in fact. And often to other platforms such as Mac and Linux.

Obviously something went wrong with this game and it went unnoticed that the quality wasn't up to the standards I expect from myself. And I'd like to apologize for what happened.

I have put out a number of updates for the game over the last 24 hours. The game has been patched to 1.2 and the manual has been included. This should hopefully help people in not having to guess their way past, what I now understand is, the copy-protection that is built into the game. The game will also run a lot faster now.

Unfortunately, the manual is too big for the Steam servers. They seem to set a limit on the size of manuals at about 90MB and the one I have added to the game is about 106MB. Instead it has been bundled in the game files which you can go to quickly by going to the game's properties and Browsing Local Files.

I will be keeping a close eye on the forums and please let me know if there is anything else wrong with the game. I'll do my best to make sure it is sorted out as soon as possible.

Thank you Greybriar! I might just go for this, GAS hit´s again LOL. I personally don´t mind the graphics aspect about it, a good game is a good game.

Darkest Hour

For me it´s the best of all 3 HOI games that I have played. It was the first one I played and still the best one for me. Alot of fun and not as hard as HOI-3 to learn. At this price it´s great.  I have the original some were on a CD, but I doubt it will work with the original installer for W10, so I will buy this GOG DRM Free version again, that´s how good it is! I played as Spain the first time and will do so again. It´s a challange to bring Spain´s Impire up
