Mission 27 August 2016 4-7 Phase II Mission Pics Very Intense!!

Most of this was from one tank and 5 Bradleys that took out most of the battalion. At this point the Bradleys were dead or had to retreat due to damage.

Some great screen shots guys!

I was asked for my AAR & was unable to give it. At some point my mic died & I had to restart to get it to work.

From my perspective...

I was a gunner for Asid. At 1st I was having some connectivity problems, the tank would suddenly jump 20ft or so in the air. Great for recce but not so hot for accurate fire lol. Asid suggested I shut everything down save SB & TS & that seemed to do the trick.

Obviously sitting in the gunners seat my perspective of the battle was pretty narrow. There was allot of brush in our AO so visibility was limited. Asid did a great job of moving the Bradley to a location with good fields of fire with few obstacles. I was able to reduce 2 BRDM's while there. When the main wave of attacking armor came I was tracking one with a TOW when another T72 drove right in front of us close enough to completely blot out my sights. I ignored the TOW shot, switched to AP & started to traverse towards the T72 when a "Mission ended" message popped up followed by my getting dumped to the AAR screen but no AAR came up.

Strange bug I assume.

I stayed on TS & monitored the battle. Sounded like a great time had by all.

This group of tanks taunted me for the entire mission they were tracked and reported but always out of range.......Who is laughing now Bitch???

From Saturday DoW mission. I tagged along as an observer. When technical's poured out of the wadi it took me a bit to pull my head out of my 4th point of contact & realize this was a great opportunity to take some screen shots.

2-1 damaged by small arms fire.

Aftermath

Getting a tow

Breaking contact

1-1 watching the chics come in

Lusik

Very nice Longknife. I like the frames and our logo in the corner. Me and Renders were under heavy small arms fire at some point.

Wow, great screenshots Longknife!  I like that you took these from vehicle that is not a tank. And that is less known but that can still be very valuable in battlefield.

Thanks Lumi. I was testing a mission I am making & was harrassing an armored collom. I was able to get 3 T64s  & 1 BMP before they got me. Fire one shot, withdraw & redeploy. I had a bunch of fun.

I'm really enjoying PC's in SB.

D.O.W. Saturday Mission 24/09/16

MADNESS AT MERSA MATRUH  by Connaugh

SITUATION:
After the defeat at Gazala, the Commonwealth has retreated to defensive strongpoints based on the coastal town of Mersa Matruh with the main goal of delaying the Afrika Korps from advancing on Alamein.

MISSION:
The Afrika Korps is to assault with the intent of capturing the Commonwealth strongpoints and destroy 75 per cent of the Commonwealth force, paving the way for an advance into Egypt.

EXECUTION:
The Etruscan Infantry Brigades- Trento, Brescia, and Pavia will assault the the town of Mersa Matruh. The Afrika Korps Armored units of 15th Panzer, 21st Panzer, 90th Light, and the Etruscan Armored units of Ariete and Trieste will capture Bir El Hukuma, Charing Cross, and Sidi Hamza. Then assist the Etruscan Infantry by capturing Mersa Matruh. Next, the Armored units will swing east to assault Bir Sarahna, Minqar Qaim, and Bir Kalda. The Commonwealth positions will be defended by the 10th Indian, 50th Northumbrian, and 2nd New Zealand infantry units along with the battered remnants of the 1st and 7th Armored. Two weak battle groups,  Leathercol and Gleecol, have been formed to defend the center between Mersa Matruh and Sidi Hamza. A cynical staff officer has described a battle group as a "brigade group that has been twice overrun by tanks".
