A few shots of the Macchi C202 in IL2. It is arguably one of my fav WWII warbirds. I was super excited when it was introduced in Warbirds & rarely flew anything else. While undergunned it is nimble, sleek & quick. Not to mention sexy as hell!! 

This poor IL2 didnt know what hit him. My 1st pass was from his 2 oclock high. I saw splashes across his nose & windscreen. I thought for sure I got the pilot but as I rolled out saw him ditching his bombload. I pulled a high yoyo just after this shot & hit him again from his 10 oclock high. This time the pilot was hit.





This was a cool shot more from watching the physics of the game in action. 2-3 cannon hits on his wing I assume broke the wing spar. Right after the hits you could see the wing bend. The pilot of this Mig3 didnt east off the turn so it was like slow motion watching the wing bend more & more from the G loading & finally shear.

I am really starting to enjoy this I-16! Honestly I had little to no interest in it when I 1st got into this game but it is starting to grow on me. Its slower then any German plane in the game save the Stuka but is nimble & fun to fly. Woe onto the 109 jockey that tries to turn with it.

Fun anti shipping mission.

Perfectly placed 500kg bomb with a 3sec delay to give me time to get away from the blast.



Bomb detonated nicely sending the ship to the bottom but if you look closely you can see a fireball just behind my plane. Thats a bofors round about to hit my left wing.



It was interesting because I was looking through the back of the canopy as the bomb detonated suddely my plane was spinning down into the river. Not time to bail out. I thought the bomb had gotten me as well until I reviewed the recording I made of the flight. At the same instant as the bomb detonated a Russian sailor pulled the trigger on the bofors gun. When the round hit it basically tore my wing off. We joined each other in death embrace mere moments apart.

Explosions in this game look really realistic. This is what DCS developers could learn from.
