Note on security vulnerabilities
During tests by Wibu-Systems, it was discovered that a heap buffer overflow was possible, which could potentially lead to remote code execution (CVE-2023-3935). There is no known attack and also no evidence of the possible exploitation of the vulnerability. Furthermore, other security mechanisms had to be bypassed to be successful with this attack. For the attack to be possible from another computer, CodeMeter license server had to be configured as a network server.
