Hi guys.

For some reason I am unable to start the mission editor. When I click the option I get the hour glass displaying for about one second, then nothing.

Also I am unable to start the map editor. When trying to do so I get an error message saying "cannot open Height map... flat.hgt"

I installed SB Pro PE 3 yesterday and all other functions seems to be working fine.

Anyone have any ideas what might be the problem?

Hi Darojax

It may be that you do not have the height file for the map you are editing. What map is it?

Could it be an "Admin" issue on your pc not allowing you to use the editor? I believe you need full access to the "Maps" directory.

Let me know if this helps

Hey, thanks for replying.

I'm just selecting the Mission Editor and Map Editor from the main menu, that's where I get the unresponsiveness/error message. So I haven't selected any particular map. Also, I am unable to find any folder called map, both in the main game install directory and in the My Documents area containing the SBpro files. Am I missing some directories/files you think?

Regarding permissions I am fairly sure they should be in order. I am running the game in Administrator mode and it is installed on the D: drive. Could that be the issue maybe?

this is in our support section. It lists the file locations.

Doh. I had v2.6 installed previously. So I installed v3 first on a different location and then uninstalled v2.6. Of course this deleted a bunch of necessary files, which among other things corrupted a few game functions such as the mission editor. So I reinstalled v3 and now everything is working. :) Thanks for assistance.

Great to hear that you got it solved out. I as myself had trouble with map editor long time ago but it was since of lacking admin rights.

This trouble you faced and reason is weird. But now we know more and are able to help more players :)
