Trusted exceptions for WebSocket API communication
Version 7.10a introduced the WebSocket API with Origin verification. For this purpose, the website must have a certificate issued by Wibu-Systems, valid for exactly this website (Origin) and the Firm Code used. It is now possible to define websites as trusted exceptions where this check is not performed. These exceptions are useful for demo installations and desktop installations of CodeMeter License Central.
The trusted exceptions are entered in CodeMeter WebAdmin. The navigation "Configuration | Advanced " was extended by the entry "Trusted WebSocket Origins" (FB72969).
In CodeMeter License Server a WebSocket API request is first checked for the configured trusted exceptions. If the requesting web page is included, communication is allowed for any Firm Code. Possibly included certificates are not checked (FB72964).
