Hi all,

We're looking at replacing all the artwork across the current twenty one Panzer Campaign games that have been published. This is definitely not a task for the faint-hearted and is something we have been doing in our spare time while working on further Panzer Battle titles. This is not just a graphics upgrade but will also include Ed Williams Volcano mods alternate scenarios - so it's more of a relaunch of the series. There may even be some new (very popular) channels to buy them from...

The current JTS versions of Panzer Campaigns use an early version of the 'small sized' Panzer Battles graphics. They were not at all to scale and the 'realistic' look didn't quite work.

Here is the current terrain set in Kharkov '43;

Here is the same shot using a more 'map' like view. All the unit images, markers and counters across the series will be updated also. Please note all images that follow are WIP.

Here is another set of shots done for the earlier title, Kharkov '42. These show some summer shots. First one is the standard 2D view;

Napoleon's spyglass found at Plas Newydd on Anglesey

The fragile pocket-sized telescope was almost lost to history after lying for 150 years in a dark cellar

A spyglass, once used by Napoleon Bonaparte on the battlefields of Europe, has been discovered gathering dust in the basement of an Anglesey mansion.

The fragile pocket-sized telescope was almost lost to history after lying for 150 years in a dark cellar.

But after its rediscovery at Plas Newydd near Llanfairpwll and carefully restored it will go on display alongside the spoils of war won at the Battle of Waterloo by the 1st Marquess of Anglesey.

The spyglass came to the family after Napoleon left it behind in his hurried escaped from exile on the Mediterranean island of Elba - just months before meeting his ultimate defeat at Waterloo on June 18, 1815.

But mystery continues to surround the story of the spyglass, which is one of a number of intriguing items featured at the Waterloo Museum Exhibition at Plas Newydd.

The spyglass was taken along to the filming of the popular BBC programme Antiques Roadshow : http://www.dailypost.co.uk/whats-on/arts-culture-news/napoleons-spyglass-found-plas-newydd-9433015

Flashpoint Latvia Episode 7 - Steel Beasts ProPE - Hit and Run

Past noon and its after taste of half-eaten food. It's almost like you can feel the exhaustion and dropping morale of my German soldiers. Determined to end the day with a solid foothold on Shilovo, a renewed attack on the town is carefully planned.

This time, infantry guns (7,5 cm le.IG 18) were brought up and used in a direct fire role.

The north of Shilovo takes a great pounding from the infantry guns.

At times, the fire support was too close to my soldiers. In this screenshot, a round explodes just in front of this grenadier.

A panoramic view of the operations in the north of Shilovo. My troops gained a substantial foothold on the town.

Combat in the nearby forests was not pretty. The Reds apparently had the area completely pre-ranged and my men had to endure attacking through a wall of Soviet artillery shrapnel.
