Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943 - Operation Pugilist DLC is Out
What a great wargaming weekend ahead, folks.
Graviteam's treat for this weekend and many more is Operation Pugilist, with a new 100 square kilometers of Tunisian battlefield around Wadi Zigzaou-Zarat. The campaign features the engagements of 22-24 March at the Mareth Line (playable from both sides).

I started the campaign as the British side and it is a pleasure to play. Just like in the real life battle, my bridgehead across the Zigzaou River is tenuous, with just a few men and a very scant prospect of being reinforced with enough AT guns and tanks.

Nantucket for P3Dv4 Released!
We're pleased to announce that Nantucket Island has been updated to version 1.02 for full compatibility with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D version 4. In addition, the seasonal and dynamic animation functionality has been converted to use SimObject Display Engine (SODE) in place of our old Viva technology. We think you'll agree that the ease of use (not to mention not having to worry about compatibility with new sub-versions of P3D) make it well worth the switch. This new SODE version covers both Prepar3D 3 and 4.
Other Changes in version 1.02:
• New grass textures for better realism
• Enhanced ground poly textures
• Lots more static planes - both GA and bizjets
• Added detail in open hangar
• Dynamic apron night lighting (P3Dv4 only)
These changes are planned as an update to the FSX version as well. Details will be announced once a release date has been set.

The spring offensive of the British forces in Eastern Tunisia began with an attempt of a frontal breakthrough of the Mareth defensive line. After a massive bombing and a fire assault, British forces consisting of 50th Northumberland Infantry Division and 50th Royal Tank Regiment launched an attack on the coastal part of the Mareth line fortifications. Infantry of 8th Battalion Durham Light Infantry crossed Wadi Zigzaou and captured two small bridgeheads on the left bank: Ouerzi and Ksiba Ouest. The main obstacle for continuing the offensive is the river in flood after rains. Spanned crossings for heavy vehicles are collapsing quickly by flow of water, which made crossing difficult for tanks and artillery.
• Two operations of 12 turns for each of the parties (Mareth Line, March 22-24, 1943).
• Precisely recreated area of over 100 sq. km: seashore, strong points and oases, a desert with harsh terrain and extensive gullies.
• Historical organizational structure of units at the time of the offensive.
