About This Game
Ostriv aims to raise the bar of city-building experience by adding a huge amount of possibilities and removing annoying limitations. It allows for truly organic town layouts without the grid and angle restrictions on a three-dimensional landscape. The goal is to make player's creations to become alive and believable communities where real-life problems would arise, thus making the late game a new challenge rather than a repetitive chore.

Steel Beasts ProPE - OBJ Leninade - A Russian T-72 Company in the Attack.
In my recent video ... Wait a second, you didn't see my video? Shame on you!
I wanted to share this tactical note I made for my own use. In the before mentioned video, I have a T-72 tank Company and I am to assault an American position (OBJ Leninade). During numerous tryouts, I consistently failed on that assault until I read the fine print of a document entitled "Soviet Tank Company Tactics" (available from a number of sources, please Google it).[/size
In the scenario, my critical error was how I positioned my support by fire (SBF) position.
OBJ Leninade and how to take it. Note the "bad SBF" and how close it is to the enemy tanks. The better alternative was to have my SBF mission some 1 km farther away from the Americans.

Arma 3 Tanks DLC - First Blood
The much awaited DLC finally made it to the playing list of the dwellers of the Arma 3 virtual world.
The enemy: two T-140 Angara tanks.
After a few miles of cross country riding and hundreds of armor-piercing rounds fired, I quickly threw an scenario in the editor. In this scenario a section of two CSAT T-140 Angara Armata tanks is moving through a valley in Altis. My crew quickly notices them cresting a hill near Gravia, and we are game.[/size
From the commander's sight, two CSAT tanks moving towards our position. The range is around 3.7 km.
Although I can hit targets beyond 3 km, my Rhino MGS UP "tank destroyer" is under-armored enough to warrant a cautious approach.
So, making use of the high mobility of the Rhino, I order my crew to race towards a battle position from which I can get the enemy tanks from the flank.
