(Dev News #124) PVP AMA and Oktoberfest Kicks Off
Hey, Feudalists!
Yesterday we had an exclusive PvP oriented AMA session - this time not only with Bobik but with Arthur 'Binart' - LiF Lead Game Designer. PvP leaders, guild leaders, and military commanders from all corners of Abella took part in the discussion. Many questions about the balance and future plans were answered, and the participants have also submitted a lot of interesting suggestions and ideas. For those of you who didn't make it, you can listen to the stream recording here. We are very grateful to all the participants as well as to those who came to listen to the stream. For those of you who are not a hardcore PvPers - are also planning to organize another AMA dedicated to smaller and non-pvp groups in the near future, to make sure everyone is heard. Stay tuned!
We continue our pace of releasing patches and this week's patch contains improvements such as polishing and tuning the current build and cramming as many bug fixes into the update as possible. You can read the details about the update here

Since independence from colonial rule, Africa has been consistently plagued by political instability. Angola, in particular, struggled through a long civil war between two groups: MPLA, controlling the state, and UNITA, which gained support from the United States and South Africa despite having Maoist roots. Periodic South African incursions into southern Angola forced the Angolan government to depend on military aid from the Soviet Union and Cuba.

1) SITUATION:
a) Enemy:
Enemy forces are trying to delay / stall our advance and are falling back. The enemy in your sector consists of an overstrength platoon and are apparently prepping the bridge for demo. Enemy forces are using Soviet style equipment and there is the possibility that there are enemy screening forces in the area.
b) Own:
Blue has been advancing against enemy forces since the morning. Friendly forces to the west have reached the small river to your south and have been stopped by a blown bridge there. Your forces consist of an M2A2 platoon (in game you have 4x rifle teams, 3x Javalin teams and 1x MMG).
c) Attachments and detachments: One section of mortars.
2) MISSION:
Conduct an opposed bridge crossing before enemy forces can destroy the bridge. It is important for the bridge to be captured intact. The rest of the company is busy with replenishment after the engagements from earlier today.
3) EXECUTION:
You are to assault enemy forces preping the bridge for demo and destroy them. They are being overwatched by at least...
