GB Centurion: The Best Tank Ever. Period.
Aug 28, 2026
The Tank Museum
There's something very British about the Centurion. It arrived a few weeks too late to see service in World War 2, but it ended up being one of the best tanks ever made.
In the hunt for the Universal Tank, the British succeeded in bringing firepower, armour and mobility into one truly superb design.
While it may have missed its moment in the war, Centurion saw service in a number of conflicts around the world – and became a key armoured fighting vehicle for many countries.
Thirteen Marks, masses of upgrades, and a whole host of variants, get ready to hear the story of the Centurion.
