VFR Real Scenery NexGen 3D

The next generation of our hugely popular VFR Real Scenery series of photographic scenery for the UK is coming soon for P3D, FSX and FSW!

VFR Real Scenery NexGen 3D uses the very latest 25cm and 50cm aerial images to provide a general 'in sim' texture resolution of 1.2m/pixel, which increases to 60cm/pixel around airports and specific points of interest, as well as a huge array of autogen objects to provide an immersive '3D' feel. The combination of photographic scenery with accurately placed autogen objects gives a truly realistic representation of flying over the real world - and you'll get a performance boost as well!

As well as vegetation, houses and industrial buildings, the object library contains features such as wind turbines, lighthouses and churches, all placed where their real-world counterparts are located.

The default 76m mesh has been replaced with ultra-high-resolution 5m data for greatly improved terrain detail and the night lighting (P3D and FSX only) comes with custom textures to provide smooth dusk/dawn blending between day and night images.

Water masking techniques have been applied to all major and minor water areas, making them all 'landable'...

Dear Pilots,

I am wrapping up another trip to our Moscow studio where we discussed the current successes and future challenges that face our team and IL-2 Great Battles series. As always, we have a strong team and the will to keep powering on pushing the limits of ourselves and our products. Battle of Bodenplatte is coming along nicely along with the PO-2 which we will officially rename the U-2 to be more historically correct. This cool little bi-plane is finally nearing the final stage. Matter of fact, we had a real pilot who has experience flying an actual U-2 test our FM. He really liked it and gave us some small pointers that we will incorporate into the FM.

Additionally, Flying Circus work continues as does Tank Crew work including tank platoon commands and the more complex damageable buildings for the Prokhorovka map.

Before I catch my flight back to the U.S. here are some pics of the skins that will ship with the P-47 D-28 "Jug" and the updated faces of our American USAAF pilot and our WWI Entente pilots. Per your feedback we have made them look younger. Quite a rugged, good looking fellow custom fit for the part.

See you soon when I'm back in America.

Tacview 1.7.4 is available

Download: HERE

  • Release Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2018
  • Operating System: Windows® 32-bit / 64-bit
  • File Size: 262.6 MB

Dedicated to BMS pilots: Thanks to Olivier Beaumont aka "Red Dog", Tacview now offers by default the maps of the most popular BMS battlefields. No more fussing with download and configuration files, enjoy right away more comfortable debriefings over Korea, ITO, Aegean and the Balkans. To reduce the installer size, I have not included all the possible maps, so just let me know if you think that I have missed an important theater map which should be in Tacview by default.

Behold the new trimming tool! With it, you can now select and keep only the most relevant part of your last flight. Share smaller files with your friends and enjoy debriefings which go right to the point!

This version also brings the long-awaited C# SDK for Tacview Enterprise customers. With an API which is virtually identical to the Lua and C++ ones, it is now possible to quickly develop powerful addons for Tacview.

As usual, this version brings a few fixes as well as some optimizations in the telemetry manager. Check the release notes for more details.
