Hey everyone,
We'd like to extend a huge thanks today to all of you playing Insurgency: Sandstorm! Join us in celebrating the incredible praise heaped on Sandstorm in our new Accolades Trailer.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is a game of team-based tactics and objective-oriented gameplay complete with player versus player, competitive matchmaking, and co-operative game modes versus AI set in a fictional, contemporary Middle Eastern conflict.
Your soldier's appearance, weapons, attachments, armor, and amount of carried ammo are all up to you. Call in airstrikes, request helicopter support, drive vehicles with mounted weapons, and use a wide range of specialist weaponry from grenades to drones to C-4 explosives.
Prepare for a hardcore depiction of combat with deadly ballistics, light attack vehicles, destructive artillery, and unprecedented audio design that puts the fear back into the genre. Death comes fast, ammunition must be carefully managed, and the environment must be tactically navigated at every step toward victory.

The Rise and Fall of Operation Flashpoint

In 1997, a video game company named Bohemia Interactive was established in Prague. The Czech Republic had historically never been a hotbed for video game development, but Bohemia's founders – Marek Španěl, Ondřej Španěl, and Slavomír Pavlíček – were on a mission. They were determined to create a first person shooter that would capture the reality of war more accurately than any game before it; an engrossing simulation that would depict what real battlefields were like, and feature an unprecedented sense of scale and attention to detail.
After a challenging and prolonged development period, Bohemia delivered on these ambitions in 2001 with Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. The game was both a triumph within the genre of tactical first-person shooters, and one of the first major successes in the history of Czech-made video games. But it was also beginning of two wars – a war between Bohemia and its publisher, which would attempt to capitalize on the game without its creators' involvement, and a war between Bohemia and itself, as the studio struggled to balance its ambitions with its capabilities.

Lifever has become the Panzer Corps World Champion by defeating Woken (who had been runner up in the 2017 edition, too) in a tough and epic match.
The champion, Lifever, is going to be remembered in the Panzer Corps Hall of Fame, alongside last year's winner! He will also be featured as a Hero in Panzer Corps 2! Hail to the champ!
We would like to once again congratulate with Goose_2 for a perfectly run tournament which wouldn't have been possible without his dedication and passion. Thank you Goose!
But there is more! To celebrate the end of this epic tournament we are going to run a weeklong sale on the entire Panzer Corps saga, up to 90% off!
