"As a reminder, TacPack and Superbug are NOT yet compatible with P3D v4.5 Hotfix 2. The SUPPORTED versions are listed in the previous post (above).

As always, do NOT upgrade P3D unless you are prepared to wait for TacPack support. This can take anywhere from days to weeks depending on the extent of the changes to P3D."

What's your gaming pleasure this weekend? 27/09/19 :gamer

Work/real life stuff ongoing...Good weather this weekend so hopefully RC flying with electric helos again. Not managed to find time to fix the servo issue on my plane...A nose in impact from 30 feet didn't help..... :flyaway

Military flight sim in P3DV4
Vietnam/SE-Asia missions. Yep, thats right and they fight back :bitchslap

I use: FSX@War, CCP, FSCAI, VACMI (SSW)

There is a new release of FSCAI which makes the enemy ai come alive! here . FSCAI is coming on very nicely. I will use it with the trusty FSX@War

Military simulation is VERY doable in P3D. I enjoy having the entire world to fly in as well as real weather. I can fly a mission in Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Vietnam. In fact almost anywhere. Digging into some Korean era flights :thumbsup

Planes I will use:
- Milviz F100D
- Milviz FG-1D Corsair
- F84F THUNDERSTREAK by SimSkunk Works
- Mirage IIIC by Resterauvia
- VRS Superbug F/18E
- JustFlight Avro Vulcan
- Milviz PC6 in recon missions

If I get time maybe:
- Command: Modern Operations
- Wolfpack. Try out the bots
- Ostriv
- Crying suns

That's what I am trying to play. :thumbsup

Dev News #174
Fri, 27 September 2019

Hello, Feudalists!
Even though we don't have an update this week, the team is working tirelessly on game fixes, tweaks and improvements that we will present you in the nearest future.

And to entertain you during these autumn days, we announce the beginning of the long-awaited "Witch's Dungeon event". You may expect that expedition map will be published in Discord on 28th September (Saturday), at 20:00 UTC. Good luck, and let the hunt begin!

For those who have missed the announcement, we're going to remind you what's it all about:

"Disturbing rumors swept through the lands of the Crown. The insidious natives, cramped by brave warriors on Godenland, are plotting something unholy. It seems that their witches have been devising their plans and came up with new sinister intrigues to bring death upon the good folk of Abella. One shepherd, grazing herd in the mountains, noticed how these unholy savages slipped by the accompaniment of growling wolf packs into the stinking bowels of one of the caves. Who knows what dark secrets are hidden in this underground maze? But the glorious inhabitants of Godenland just do not intimidate! Especially when a good reward...

Community Update #8: New Mode, Frontline
Fri, 27 September 2019

Hey everyone, my name is Michael Tsarouhas. I am the lead game designer on Insurgency: Sandstorm. Today we're gonna talk about update 1.4's new tug-of-war inspired PvP game mode Frontline that was added to the game a couple weeks ago. We'll cover what it is, how it plays, the challenges we encountered in its implementation, and its history in our previous games. Frontline is available now on the live version of the Sandstorm and can be found under the PvP "Versus" section of the Play menu.

Though we've only just added the mode to Sandstorm, Frontline has actually been around for a while. It first started as a game mode called "Battle" way back in the Half-Life 2 mod version of Insurgency, which was called Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat. It played pretty similar to as it does today, like a two way Push mode, where both teams progress linearly through the map one objective at a time trying to push each other back. There was, however, no weapon cache as there is today in Frontline. The mode had a special flavor to it. It was unpredictable, hectic, and high in intensity, but still had that tactical hardcore Insurgency feel...
