Air Supply Question

I have two questions about Air Supply.

Patch 1.12 states that air supply works for one hex only. I assume this means that a temporary supply hex is set up on that hex. From a post from a while back in these forums (not sure where) it was stated that air supply rules were being redone so that supply does not flow along railroads.

Putting this together:
1. If both are true, I assume that a supply trace is made from this temporary supply hex using the concept of a supply truck performing a Ground Move to Attack with a MF of nine. Is this true?

2. Should there be a temporary supply source (grey or red border with a diagonal line) shown on the map? Right now, I am not seeing this.
