2120. The Sedvan Spheres, advanced teleportation devices, suddenly reactivate after years of silence. It returns access to Anthracite, a beautiful yet hostile planet light-years away from Earth. Anthracite hides an invaluable treasure: Galvaon, a rare, natural mineral that can fuel the Sedvan Spheres. The one who wins the battle for Anthracite, conquers it all.

Tactical Troops: Anthracite Shift is a top-down turn-based tactical science-fiction game in which the player leads a small troop of elite soldiers throughout the hand-drawn, beautiful yet hostile planet of Anthracite.




Explore the beauty and the danger of Anthracite by leading your troops through 40 missions of a story-rich single-player campaign. Study the briefing, choose your equipment and outsmart your enemies.






Compete with your friends or against the AI in the multiplayer skirmishes, either online or from the same device through the Hotseat mode.




Every single movement takes place in a grid-less tactical environment. Plan your strategy and move your troops with freedom: attack on an open field or from a hidden corner. Take cover behind rocks and trees or ambush the enemy from inside buildings and bunkers.




Not only you can teleport your units, but also your bullets and grenades. Plan ambushes from the other side of the map or use the Sedvan Spheres to disperse incoming fire.






Thanks to your troops’ overwatch technique, you can automatically attack your enemies as soon as they enter your field of view. Choose the weapon, set the direction and your soldiers will patiently wait for the unlucky opponents who try to get in their way.






The combat system and the world of Anthracite follow the rules of physics: weapons require manual aiming, bullets and grenades can bounce off obstacles. Your troop can push objects and use them to their advantage.

Tactical Troops: Anthracite Shift, previously scheduled for release on August 20th, has been postponed.


The story mode and the multiplayer mode are both fully complete and playable at this stage, but developer QED decided to take three extra months of work to improve the game, polish it and ultimately make it better.
As soon as we identify the new release date, we will make sure to let you know.

To those who were eagerly waiting to play Tactical Troops, rest assured QED is working hard to deliver the best experience. It will all be worth the wait.

Teleportation to exotic planets is nearly here! Tactical Troops: Anthracite Shift will release in April 2021

Attention, soldiers! We have received a distress signal from planet Anthracite. Your mission begins on April 15th
!




Your elite squad of mercenaries will journey through the beautiful yet dangerous environments of the exotic planet over the course of a 20-hour-long singleplayer campaign. Your tactical expertise will be put to test over and over again by the gridless movement system, smart enemies and the well-placed teleports.
But extraterrestrial animals, space pirates, evil robots and enemy governments won’t be the only opposing forces you’ll encounter on Anthracite. Get ready to fight other players in online and hot-seat skirmishes. Compete in Domination and Devastator modes to become the highest ranked commander.

Main features:

•  Tactical turn-based strategy with girdles movement - soldiers can gain positional advantage with no restrictions;
•  Teleportation - teleports scattered around the battlefield are a powerful tool for flanking opponents, taking cover and even shooting from unexpected angles;
•  Vast squad customization options - a wide variety of futuristic weapons and several character classes allow to adapt the player’s squad to their playstyle.
•  Physics-based combat - each shot or grenade throw has to be manually aimed, eliminating the frustrating RNG, known from other tactical strategies;

Hello,

In just a few days, we are opening the Multiplayer Playtest for everyone! Don’t have the game yet? Don’t worry! For two weeks, everyone can play, using everything that the multiplayer mode offers.
What to do to participate? Simply sign up.

If you join, you will be able to play both multiplayer modes - the devastator and the domination using a full arsenal of weapons (among others: SMGs, rifles, machine guns, rocket launches) and of course, dozens of one-of-a-kind items to match your unique game style.

Why did we decide for the Multiplayer Playtest?

Because of Sensei. It’s our game analytic platform, which provides guides and support to players. You may think of it as a game specific mentor or coach, which helps you to analyze your game and playstyle.
But for Sensei to be a great coach it needs practice, well actually it needs data from game logs.

After Sensei has “seen” enough games, it can then help players improve their skills. You’ll get:

- replays of all of your games with various heatmaps (eg. best sniping position)



- visualizations of the player's ranking change in time,

- view of the most popular loadouts for different maps,

- insight to weapons and gadgets details,

- comprehensive facts about maps, units and game modes.

If we’ll manage to collect enough data, we will also add advanced features such as:

- loadout completer



- playstyle analysis



- formations (how players spread their units on a map),

and more.

Sensei is also about peer mentoring. It allows for comparing individual statistics with the community of gamers and exchanging knowledge. On the Sensei platform, each of you can check yours and other players’ progress, view all your fights and see how other players deal with given maps.
