Tank Operation: European Campaign is a turn-based, tactical war game with a dozen nerve-racking historical scenarios on the various battlefields of World War II with more than 50 faithful, authentic military units.

For all of Europe, World War 2 was a disaster of epic proportions. Relentlessly, National Socialist Germany pushed forward its campaign of destruction in all directions. Eventually, the allies made a stand to thwart the growing global threat of National Socialism's claim to world dominance. Would they have the strength to stop the Third Reich? As an American general you lead your tanks across the battlefields of Europe and Northern Africa. With the right combination of tactics and strategy you will vanquish the Wehrmacht and put an end to its campaign of destruction.

Here our second official update for the Early Access Version.

And thank you all. We got tons of feedback and ideas from you players. We deeply appreciate that. We're super motivate and we working hard. We’ll make Tank Operations better and it should be an uniquely game experience for you.

•   added level 5 The Gothic line 🤓

•   planes no longer fly under ships
•   City flag is no longer invisible (Operation Husky/Messina)
•   Base can no longer build buildings

Thank you, thank you, thank you,... Wow, what a community. We're flashed. We working now on few features that should be a great improvement for the game. But this is all WIP and we’ll tell you more if we’re are.

Early Access Version 1.3.0 - New Level Liberation of Paris

Dear Solider,

It's time for a new level: Level 7: "Liberation of Paris" can now be played.

We also have a new unit in this level: a small artillery bunker. What do you think about it, do you like it? We also added new sounds and tweaked the balancing.
Here is a list of all changes:

Levels
- added level 7
- minor tweak in level 6

Units
- new unit: small artillery bunker

Sound
- added new death sounds for infantry and saboteur, added destruction sound for tanks

Balancing
- Higher hit probability for Combat Car
- Lower hit probability for Panzer I
- M8 Scott’s grenades do more damage
- Lowered range bonus for trench
- Anti-tank fire team does more damage and is more expensive
- Mountain rangers are more expensive

Early Adopter Branch

The "early adopter" branch has arrvied.

Hi everyone,

we had announced it some time ago but finally the "early adopter" branch has arrvied.

What is the "early adopter branch"?
In this branch you will find features that are not quite finished yet/a little rough around the edges, so we don't want to integrate them into the "main" branch yet. But we'd still like to hear your feedback on them. Later on we'll also have ai tweaks here for you to check out.

But beware as mentioned above these features are not quite done yet so the version might be a little more buggy or unstable! But if you are curious and would like to share your thoughts this should be something for you.


How do I get this branch?
Go to your steam library, right click on Tank Operations: European Campaign and select "Properties".
In the window that opens click on "BETAS" and under "Select the beta..." select the "early_adopter" branch. If you would like to goback to the normal version, select "NONE".

Where do I report bugs
You report bugs just as you'd do with the normal version, throught the bug tracker form. If you have a crash dump you can send it to support@linked-dimensions.de

Early Access Version 1.6.0 - New Level - The Siegfried Line

It's Winter 1944!

Despite the successful liberation of the Benelux countries, our advance has come to a halt in the north. Operation Market Garden was a failure. We can't go around the Siegfried Line. We'll have to break through with force. We absolutely must gain a toehold on German soil.

Today we announcing EA Update 1.6.0 and this is a big content update.

•   Added B24 Liberator
•   Increased visual range of PBY Catalina
•   Decreased bomb damage for Flying Fortress and Liberator, added more bombs for both
•   Bunker busters can now be applied to tank traps

Graphics
•   New effects for bombs, howitzers and rockets
•   Tank traps have a destroyed graphic now

Gameplay
•   Added sand bags
•   Added landing strip for DC-47 Skytrain
•   Improved range display for units (colors by frankycl)

More Options
•   Added possibility to remap controls
•   Colors for range display and terrain info can be changed
•   Options what to display in range display

•   Added zoom functionality (mouse wheel)

Early Access Version 1.7.0 - New Level - Southern Germany | B8 Bergkristall

Winter 1944
We shattered the Siegfried Line and crossed the Rhine. Now we need to conquer southern Germany and destroy key weapons factories there. The Germans are countering with new fighter planes. They're unbelievably fast. We have to destroy the airfields their 'jets' use. There are reports of an aircraft factory codenamed 'B8 Bergkristall'. We must find it at all costs.

Today we announcing EA Update 1.7.0. This update includes a new level (Southern Germany) and also level fixes and balancing.

•   Added level 10
•   Level 9: Changed opponent placement, added saboteur for player, changed positions of player’s flaks
•   Level 5: Removed wrongly placed Priest tank

Graphics
•   Changed effects for special skills
•   New portraits for most units

Balancing
•   Decreased visual range for Long Tom and Black Dragon
•   Changed cooldown for several special skills
•   Skill “Dodge” doesn’t end the turn for the unit any more

Early Access Version 1.8.0 - New Level Northern Germany

April 1945! London is still being bombarded by V2 rockets.

April 1945! London is still being bombarded by V2 rockets. Before we can march on Berlin we have to conquer northern Germany and destroy all the rocket bases. Despite their immense losses, the Wehrmacht is still sending new Panzer brigades out to face us. I never thought this war would be so bloody or so long.

GENERAL, we made changes. That what we done.

Levels
•   Added level 11
•   Some changes made in level 10

Units/Buildings
•   Added concrete walls to the game
•   Sand bags are cheaper now but less resistant
•   Sandbags are available from level 3
•   Units leaving the skytrain mid-flight now have parachutes

Misc
•   Updated Chinese loca
•   Added Reset button to controls options
•   Special Skill “Alert” can still be activated after movement


If we’ll win this level we just a step away from BERLIN.

Please note that the versions in the early adopter branch are versionsdirectly out of the development process which probably contain some bugs and inconsistencies. The early adopter version is for players who are curious about the newest changes. Additionally, early adopter versions help us to evaluate some features with your help and your feedback, before they make it officially into the game.

All changes from early adopter versions integrated

Hello dear players,

After fixing and tweaking some things we finally decided to make the early adopter branch the new official version 2.0.0 as we think it's now time to introduce all the major changes to everyone playing the game.
Of course we are aware that there are still some issues we have to (and will) take care of .

Special skill "Tracers" has higher range (artillery and infantry)
"Flak Post" has higher weapon range

Artillery can use special skill "Tracers" only against planes

Early Adopter Version 2.0.1.0


Dear players,

We uploaded a new version to the early adopter branch and it has a brand new bonus level: "Fortress Metz". It's just the start of a whole series of bonus levels. After early access, the bonus levels are unlocked as soon as players have finished a certain part of the campaign, usually levels taking place in one country. For example, after having finished Italy, a bonus level for Italy is unlocked. These bonus levels give insight to other historical events to support the atmosphere of the game. During early access, all bonus levels can be played as soon as they are released.

With the "Radar Station" we also introduced a new unit. Other than that we tweaked the balancing a little and fixed some bugs. Here's the complete list:

Bugfixes and automatic upload of crash dump files
Hello dear Tank Operations Community,

We regret that the last update contained some bugs that can lead to crashes. We have looked at these and fixed them, as far as known. We also introduced the option of automatically uploading dump files. This makes reporting / processing crashes easier for both sides.

The "Tank's" new clothes

Hello dear Tank Operations players,

Christmas is near and we are all taking a little rest. A special year is coming to an end, not only because of the extraordinary situation this pandemic is putting us all into, but also for Linked Dimensions and Tank Operations. A lot has happened behind the scenes. Before we wish you relaxing Christmas holidays, we would like to share some great news with you and make you curious about the new year.

Tank Operations gets a whole new look! We have evaluated feedback from the past and considered other factors. Therefore, graphically, hardly anything remains the same. You may look forward to the following:

- complete revision of all units in terms of color scheme and level of detail
- graphic realignment of all levels
- completely redesigned UI
- generally a more realistic and contemporary look
- compatibility with higher resolutions than full HD

We have added links to some before-and-after comparisons of units and a level to this news. We hope you enjoy it and we look forward to your feedback.

Delay for graphical overhaul version

Dear players,

In our last news we announced to upload a version during January to give you the opportunity to have a first look into the version with the new graphics. Now we have already February, 4th and unfortunately we will not manage to upload a new version yet.

As you can imagine, changing all graphics has some impact to the whole game, especially regarding size and memory. We are still working on those points and currently we don't feel good to upload the current progress. We know you are curious and we are eager to show you the graphics ingame, but we decided to wait a little.

We would like to ask you for some more patience. As a small compensation we show you some more artwork.
