WWII Europe Campaign Scenario Status

Hello,

Work is continuing on building the campaign scenario #102, which covers the entire European war from 1930 to 1945 at the division level.  To refresh everyone, the strategy is to develop the battle file, release in October, and then get feedback from wargamers on the rules that need to be coded to make the scenario (more) playable.


I have developed the file with the following number of units.  I focused on the Allied side first, since it is the larger of the two.  Numbers below include ground, air and naval, including HQ units.  It gives an idea of how large this scenario will be:

1. Poland - 110
2. Norway - 46
3. Denmark - 19
4. France - 200
5. Belgium - 37
6. The Netherlands - 36
7. Yugoslavia - 73
8. Greece - 35
9. UK - 326
10 USA - 99 ground units, air and naval in development
11. Russia - in development


So that is 982 units in the file already. I expect another 100 USA air and naval units.  I expect Russia to have 400 rifle units plus tank plus mech plus air plus naval. I will probably use Tank and mechanized corps units instead of individual brigades for Russia where I can in 1943 to 1945.  Rebuilds of units will be captured in the turn array as mech and non mech points, allowing the player to select different production strategies. So maybe 2000 total Allied units.  I suspect the Axis will be another 1000, leaving 1000 units to be built by the players using the mech and non mech points.  The game currently is coded with a max of 4000 units, so it looks like it will fit nicely as is

I do plan to use YouTube videos more in the future as time permits.  More on that as time goes on in the development.
