Version Confusion

How can 4.028 or 4.029 already exist? Nether of them are available on the Steel Beasts downloads page: http://www.esimgames.com/?page_id=1390 What is certain is that Ssnake just confirmed that the PE version lags behind the Pro version in features, which was something that we already knew.

Hi Snake,

We had a training this week in the pro, and I will like to load the sce, AAR and terrain+heights into my PE in order to recce and prepare for the next run of the same mission.

Which parts will be likely able to load and what version of SB PE shall I install to do so.

Going from 3.323 Pro to SB PE 4.029(latest) fail with an error. Incompatible scenario! Feature 119 is missing!

Yeah... 3.323 is more advanced in some features as is 4.028. Can't relly help you with that, only that eventually the Personal Edition will catch up with the next upgrade.

After further reflection, I am troubled. The current version of Steel Beasts Pro PE is 4.023, yet KKnispel says there is a PE version 4.029 and Ssnake apparently confirms this while correcting him about the last digit. There is only one explanation that I can think of for this: military clients get continued updates to Steel Beasts Pro PE, while the civilian enthusiast market doesn't. While civilian enthusiasts with 4.023 are stuck dealing with numerous bugs, military clients are likely getting those bugs patched. This is another example of eSim Games putting the military clients first, and the civilian enthusiast market second. I guess you can't blame them, but that doesn't mean we are going to like it.
