Down to the Last Detail

BISim will showcase the work underway to produce a high fidelity CV9040 part task trainer in VBS3 for the Swedish Armed Forces, providing virtual panels that can be manipulated through touchscreen devices.

Working closely with the customer, BISim is recreating the systems of the CV9040 down to the last detail, giving gunners and commanders the capability to turn knobs, toggle dials and flip switches as they behave in the actual vehicle.

The work also involves more accurate penetration and damage models as well as turret behaviors. While the work is specific to the Swedish Armed Forces, BISim developers can recreate similar complex systems in VBS when requested by customers.

Wow. With this work, the work on APS, and IED clearing, it looks like VBS is going to eventually become a rival to Steel Beasts. eSim had better hurry up with implementing active protection systems, at least.
