On a side-note (technical issue): my artillery unit behaved badly from the beginning. Even before the crash. I tried TC'ing and neither that nor the AI would cooperate with me. The artillery would not limber up initially and they pushed the  cannon all the way to Timpko. Only some of the guns would fire while the others remained limbered, pointing down at the ground and away from the enemy.

Paranoid about screwy artillery behavior, am I? 


(To be fair, the explanation I've been given does fit the evidence, so I'm actually reserving judgment on that until I can experiment more. Still. Can't help but feel a tad vindicated.)

you'll make it work eventually - maybe not 100% of the time, but I hope you'll keep trying
