What is "Wild Terra"?
A massively multiplayer life simulator in a fully player-driven medieval world. EVERY character here is a real person. To get anything you will have to create it by yourself, trade it from someone else or take by force.

We want to make a game that can be played by everyone, whether you are an experienced player or an absolute newbie who just started exploring the world of videogames. A part of the tedious processes is shortened or simplified to keep the possibility to compete with other players without “living” in the game world.

Everyone here will find an activity to one’s liking: world exploration, wild animal hunting, craft and husbandry, arranging of a cozy corner for oneself, fighting other players, and even sieges of medieval castles.

What is unique about PvP system in Wild Terra?
In Wild Terra the chances of winning in PvP fights don't depend on how valuable the player’s equipment or weapons are, but they do depend on the player’s skill and tactics. To win you have to use wisely the advantages of the environment and deal with possible weaknesses of your equipment and position.

Player-driven world
Huge medieval world where rules and environment are created completely by the players. Here everyone will find an activity he likes most. No NPCs and quests, just an absolute freedom of limitless possibilities!

HUNTING AND TAMING
Surviving in wild nature, dealing with dangers, hunger, and starvation. Resource and subsistence procurement . Different types of food with their own traits and effects on a player’s character. Hunting, wild animal capture and taming. Riding any large animal!

Building and craft
Peaceful lands with no murder and destruction. Unlimited building anywhere in the game world. Possibility to build anything you want from a hut made of branches to a medieval castle. Hundreds of manufacture schemes, dozens of materials and instruments, all kinds of production machines, furnaces, and mechanisms. Craft, landscaping, and embellishment of the player-owned lands!

CLAN SIEGES AND DUELS
Fighting other players. Strifes between clans for resource possession. A variety of unique weapons and armor, a diversity of siege weapons. To win you have to use benefits and drawbacks of your surroundings and equipment!

The devs wanted the UO feel. It is very early days for this but UO players will feel right at home.

I used to play UO when it first came out, as did Stardog. Good times :)

Wow if I could have all the hours back I poured into UO! Loved that game!! I had a tower in the far southern isle & 4 characters I used to play. An good aligned warrior mage, an evil alligned assasin & 2 mule chars alchemist & minor.

Was great times!

Cooking
Coming soon to the game will be added the new skill - Cooking. Skill will affect the ability to cook high level food, alcohol, and it's quality. Will be added spices that are used in difficult recipes. Food cooked with their use, will be much more effective to satisfy the hunger.

Will also be added a large number of new products, recipes, tools and machines for cooking: the beehive, wine press, culinary table, all kinds of dishes, cakes, sausages and more.
Meat of all predators will be merged into a single kind, and its quality is lower than the meat of herbivores.

Changes in animal behavior
Reworked behavior of animals that cause damage to the player (wild boar, wolf, bear, fox). Damage inflicted is now leading the animal into a rage, which significantly increases the the speed of his movement. Animals can no longer be hunted over fences. Predators can destroy abandoned buildings, and if the animal can not get to his abuser and ceases to pursue - his health will recover.

There were also fixes bugs with invulnerable animals, which can not be attacked.

Completed work on the introduction of leather armor, it's will appear in the next update.

Update 8.13. Furious predators



The game has been updated to the version 0.8.13. Big changes have affected the behavior of predators. Be careful, they have become much more dangerous! More details about all innovations below.

Improvements and fixes 0.8.13
•   Injured wolf and bear now fall into a state of fury, at which chasing the player far longer and with increased speed of movement.
•   Now attacking animals during the movement can destroy dilapidated buildings outside dominiums, and those buildings in the disputed land for the destruction which is not required siege machinery.
•   Implemented health recovery of attacking animals, if the fight with them was interrupted by unbreakable obstacles, such as fences or terrain.
•   Reworked interaction with wild animals. Should be fixed their duplication, as well as the appearance of invulnerability and inactive animals.
•   Reworked the interaction with the animals at catching and riding on them.
•   Check the new mechanics and inform us about the noticed changes in their work.
•   Added graphics for the new leather armors.
•   Added graphics for the missing items, thrown to the ground.
•   Updated outdated graphics for some of the items thrown to the ground.
•   In the interface of production machines added button to their ignition and extinguishing.
•   In the interface of production buildings and containers added possibility view the description.
•   Large timbered and stone structures (furnaces, warehouses, mills) can now be destroyed only by siege weapons.
•   Fixed disappearance of the buildings at the border of map tiles.
•   Fixed distortion surfaces during construction on the border of map tiles.
•   Fixed the errors, which resulted in the players to get into a limited fragment of the map.
•   Fixed several bugs in recipes, skills setting and the fuel used.

Release date of Wild Terra on Steam. What will be included in the release on Early Access?



Everything described hereafter - still in development or exists only in the plans. Remember that a lot can change and the dates may be delayed. We will do everything to make changes more better and timely.

The planned release date in Early Access on Steam - December 1, 2016. For more information about Early Access and why we need it, you can read on our page on Steam.
We have less than two months, and we most focus on adding innovations conceived by us:

Skill: Taming.
Mechanics of lasso and traps will be reworked, which would make the process of taming more interesting. To the game will be added the stables - construction with an interface to interact with the animals and care for them, display information about it.

The skill system. Agriculture, Pottery, Weaving, Gathering
To the available skills will be added a significant number of new. Also, it may be modified skill system as a whole. We plan to make them leveling most interesting, and create the conditions under which any of the skills will be helpful and important. More information about each of the skills you'll learn later from the column "Coming soon in the Wild Terra".

Reworked PvP. Combat skills
One of the most priority tasks. For many players PvP-component is a key role, and we will try to make it saturated, balanced and exciting. The current system will be COMPLETELY reworked. The changes will affect the mechanics of battle, it's strategy, combat skills and their leveling, art of weapon handling.

Custom servers
Possibility of creating your unique servers with a wide range of parameters. You can customize the game as you want.

Achievements
50 different achievements. From simple quests for beginners, to serious and difficult challenges for veterans of the game.

Decoration for Steam
Badges, trading cards, emoticons and backgrounds for Steam profile on Wild Terra theme.

Improvements and fixes 0.8.14

•   Significantly increased the rate of growth of skills.

•   Added control with WASD keys.

•   When you right-click, the character is now hits or shoots at indicated direction.

•   Introduced Skill: Cookery. With it, you can cook different kinds of food and beverages.

•   Added a huge number of different dishes ranging from eggs and finishing with sausage Bregenwurst.

•   Added alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

•   Added new buildings - Wine press, Barrel, Rack for drying plants and Cooking table.

•   Added new types of cultivated plants, cultivate them from seed.

•   Change the state of cultivated plants, now it require more care and can dry out if you stop to care for it.

•   In the forest you can now find the honey of wild bees, and in the Godsend can sometimes find salt, which are imported from overseas countries.

•   Indicator satiety now also displays all kinds of satiety and filling scales.

•   In notes for the food added information about addition of stamina and kind of satiety.

•   Sections in the craft and construction is now spoiled by default.

•   In the craft recipes now displayed the number of items produced.

•   Updated design of annotations when mouse over inventory items, bonuses, effects, indicators, etc.

•   When you load or resurrection in someone else's dominium zone is now being tested access to the doors and locks. If you don't have access, then the character will be out of dominium zone.

•   Now you can save the point of resurrection on dominium owner beds, if you have access to the doors and locks.

•   Now the godsends will disappear after a short time after they were discovered.

•   Added sounds while eating and drinking.

•   Reworked food value.

•   Fixed a bug with the battering ram, due to which it does not achieve to wall if it was directed downward.

•   Fixed a bug due to which after catching animals and birds remained bonus that prevents attacks.

•   Fixed a bug due to which animation of action sometimes been played with the wrong speed.

The game has been updated to the version 0.8.14.89

We have considered your wishes and made several changes:

Button to change/disable the title was rebinded to key N.
Button to hide the interface was rebinded to key J.
Buttons for actions with the currently used equipment was rebinded to keys: R, T, Y and U.
Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when loading, if message was sent in the global chat.

New Skill: Agriculture
Soon, the new skill "Agriculture" will be added to the game. One of the major innovations related - changes the plant growth stages. In the current system, only three steps:

•   planting
•   watering
•   harvesting
With the introduction of skill "Agriculture" in this system will be added 2 more steps:

•   seed gathering
•   dried plant

During landing, be calculated chance of successful cultivation of plant, will also be added a small amount of experience. If you forget to water the plant - after a few hours, it just will disappear. When plant watering by water or fertilizer (different types with different effect), a chance of growing may change. Before the stage of harvesting is checked whether the plant is grown successfully. If this fails, the player receives a weed or a dried plant. Similar checking occurs before the stage of seed gathering: you either get the seeds, or a plants dries.

You can gather as your own and someone else's harvest. In this case, the experience obtained by the gathering your harvest considerably higher.

Improvements and fixes 0.8.15

Introduced Skill Agriculture. It is used for planting trees and plants, and affects the chance of successful cultivation, which is displayed when planting seeds or sprouts in the ground.
Skill agriculture affects the chance of successful planting. Experience added only during harvesting or during collection of seeds from successfully plantation grown, and during the second watering successfully grown trees.
If not the one who planted the plants, harvests it, he will not receive bonus experience (only basic experience).
Now, apart from water during landing can also be used fertilizers, which affect the chance of plant growth, number of crop, seeds and the growth rate.

Added fertilizers:

    bird droppings (reduces the chance of planting and speed, increases the amount of harvest)
    lime (increases the chance of planting and speed, decreases the amount of harvest and seeds)

Corrected dates cultivation of seeds, plant growth and some production constructions.
Added Skill Gathering. It serves to collect the basic materials, plants and fungi.

Fixed an error in copying messages in the chat.
Fixed a bug with the counter of new instant messages.
Fixed bug with displaying the list of servers, that occurred for some players.
Fixed a bug due to which the arrows flew wrong when you play on the keyboard.
Fixed a bug due to which the equipment has not been updated, if fabricated item dropped to the ground.
Fixed a bug due to which could be a significant drop FPS with the appearance of horses, bears and other players.
Fixed the skill level requirements and the cost of materials for the siege weapons.
Added graphics for other stages of growing trees and plants.
