With technology advancing at an ever increasing pace, military equipment can struggle to keep up.
 
But a team at Birmingham University is experimenting with the very latest in virtual reality simulations and software.
 
Looking 20 years into the future, they're hoping to develop tools which could one day be used for training, or even find their way onto the battlefield.
