Save game - idea - use of Tac View
« on: August 12, 2019, 12:07:08 PM »
Hi...i was wondering is there a posibillity to create a file in TAC view that can be imported in DCS world as mission file - with all the flights, ground objects, location of flights , remaining weapons for aircraft, triggers etc. That would be something like save game - that user can use to load a flight from certain point in time and continue playing the mission in DCS

Hello hreich

This is a very interesting idea!

After thinking about it, I believe that Tacview is not the best program to save/restore a DCS World mission.

In order for it to work, all data related to the mission would have to be recorded: triggers, variables, even Lua scripts states. The current exporter does not have access to this data, and even if it did, it would be highly complex to program.

I believe that your best bet would be to contact DCS World dev team via their forums. Because such feature would be much easier to code on their side.
