Turrent Won't Stop Spinning
« on: June 12, 2015, 10:50:25 PM »
OK, new guy here. Installed everything OK.  License loaded OK.

Fired up the first tutorial and the POV is stuck on the sky and the turret won't stop spinning.  I know it is joystick related as when I remove the joystick assignment all is working.

Anyone have a fix?

Hi Barkhorn1x

Try what Lumi suggested. It does seem like a control input error. Most likely from a USB device.

Many people use the mouse in Steel Beasts, including myself. I find it very accurate and simple to use. However a mouse with extra buttons would be even better. I have played PC games for years so find mouse and keyboard easy to use.

Let us know how you get on

Might want to check the dead-zones on your joystick settings as well. What kind of joystick is it?

Got it figured out.  I needed to map the stick to hot keys and adjust the axis settings.  No more issues and I'm on M1A1 tutorial mission D.; shooting at moving targets - and boy do I suck at that!

Ahh well, back to practicing.

Great. Keep practicing as it does get easier.

Shooting at moving targets is the fun part. At least they don't fire back!  ;D
Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it soon.

After the Dogs of War are let slip, let us smoke the Pipes Of Peace.
