Mission Summary :
From HVOC 6: Update from NATO. Russian and their allied forces have been held on almost all fronts. They have thrown most of their forces at our flank position, and have taken heavy losses. Our unit, NATO, and Greek forces have kept the Russians from making their goals. With heavy political pressure, and stiff resistance from NATO forces, we have forced them to make a tactical withdraw. Current situation is Russian forces are trying to setup an airstrip to facilitate rapid withdraw of forces, and have a troop and resupply convoy moving to objective Snake from the North. They have setup a defensive to our Northeast at the town of Twin Forks. It is suspected that they have a regiment with possible air support and a large supply depot, with artillery in the area. We have to deny the area and airfield from the enemy. By doing this we will hopefully trigger a full withdraw of their forces. NATO has given us a mixed nation Armor battalion to seize the prep-school, secure the town of Twin Forks and objective Snake, and destroy any enemy depots in the area.  Mission brief will begin shortly. Excerpts of the battalion commander's (HVAOC 6) orders for...BLUEFOR (D.O.W.)

1) SITUATION:

a) Enemy:
   Russian forces have setup a defensive with a regimental unit in and around the town of Twin Forks. They have a supply convoy moving to objective snake from the North, possible attack helicopter support, and unknown artillery support.


b) Own:
                    4-7 CAV DOW Armor Battalion consisting of three companies, heavy artillery/rockets, and other support units, is set to attack northeast to defeat the enemy in the area, and deny them the staging area for withdraw.

13 M1A2SEP, 7 M2A2ODS, and support units.

Bravo Company
11 LEO 2A5A1-DK, 3 CV90/40-B, and support units.

Charlie Company
9 STRV 122, 9 CV90/35-FI, and support units.

All rifle squad dismount units have 3 STORM RPGs.
All units have Multi-spectral smoke.


c) Attachments and detachments:

                   NATO has an additional company of M1A2SEPs, and flight of two Apache attack helicopters that will be in the area in 40-60 mins, and will only be placed under our command if needed and requested at that time.


2) MISSION:

4-7 CAV DOW Armor Battalion attacks northeast to destroy all enemy in sector, and deny use of objective snake. 


3) EXECUTION:



Intent: 4-7 CAV DOW forces will attack northeast to seize the prep-school, secure the town of Twin Forks, Objective Snake, and destroy enemy convoys and depots in our sector to deny it as a operational withdraw area for their forces, and force a full withdraw of the area.

they might be the last mission in the campaign depending on how it goes, and if there is any more room/maneuver area/possible mission ideas from the map location available. 

There are a large number of units in this mission, a large area of battle, and lots of enemy/objectives to do.

I hope we can have at least 12 people for this one so that every platoon has a person at the helm. If we can have more that would be GREAT!!!!!

I look forward to playing what could possibly be the last mission, and I hope we all survive to go back home , instead of a grave site in a foreign land!

Despite what the scoring said, we completed smashed them up!  The enemy should have nothing left but REMF's and a handful of combat units.  My calculations is that we defeated a Russian brigade and elements of other brigades from the other factions who dared to challenge us! 

YAY!
