D.O.W. In Over Your Head by Cougar11

This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.

Mission Summary :

Combined TF of M1A2, M2A2, 1025, and support units scout, breach, bridge, secure 3 bridges, attack, secure objective, and defend the objective. Length of time 2-3 Hours depending on execution.

We have done this mission in the past. It has been awhile, and it has a new twist. The task force is going against a German opposing force consisting of Ulan PCs, and Leo Tanks. Not much is the same from before, so do not fall into the mission execution from previous attempts.

This one truly looks bit complicated to my "CO" skill. Especially with that difficult enemy defending. I will think for a time. But I would certainly be interested to scout at this one. :P

Played it twice in DOW going up against Soviet equipment.  We did not fare so well.  Now that you are adding German stuff...

Not to worry RED! This mission will require you to scout.
I will say the obstacles are not the same, the positions are not the same, and the enemy is not the same. Opposition will be Leo 2A4 up to 2A5A2-DKs, and ULAN IFVs.
The scouts must cover a much larger area, and the commander will need to be on top of his game. The unit will have to find a way through the obstacle area, and exploit the area to get to the objective.
I hope the mission does not run past 3 hours. Previously it was between 2-3, and having a larger area to recon, it could take longer.
I hope the scout unit employs a more fast pace type of recon than infantry scouting at the crouch or crawl. From my experience this could be done by identifying areas of fast movement and slow movement. Use the vehicles in fast movement areas, and infantry in slow moving areas. Use infantry to get eyes on open areas prior to moving the easily destroyed Humvee's into the open. You could even support them with one or a section of Bradley's per platoon of scouts, only moving them up to engage armored targets but not tanks. Lots of options. Good luck.

I will get online prior to sleeping to give someone the mission between 1000-1100 US CST. If I am able to get online prior to mission, play any of it, or after I will, but sleep for these 12 hour shifts with Easter guests in the middle of sleep time is going to make it rough.
