The objective was to defend the town. The allies had other plans

View from SE corner of town looking NW.

The French artillery were dangerously exposed..The FOW meant we did not know where the enemy were.

Morsey pulled the artillery back closer to the town. He ordered Panzerde to move to the north west.

Digby moved SW. We tried to get intelligence on the enemy. We did not see them. Morsey ordered the cavalry to go NW out of the town. Some recon was in order.

Enemy spotted to the NW. The cavalry withdrew. Panzerde and Digby started to position outside of the town.

The enemy had a plan. That crafty Wellington. He was using the terrain. He now started to manoeuvre his infantry.

Morsey sent some artillery with a cavalry guard to the north. Flank perhaps. I received my orders to move west.

The cavalry that originally went north now turned west. It joined Morsey, Panzerde and Digby. The intention was clear. Morsey wanted to take the fight to Wellington!

Digby engaged the enemy! We had the numbers. I continued to scout to the south. We did not want any surprises.

I received orders to move north. I was to join Morsey on his right. Morsey sent forward cavalry. They smashed into the infantry!

Panzerde saw his chance. He pushed forward. The enemy started to fall back. Digby had  fought hard on our left. The enemy fell back.

Morsey sent cavalry to harass the enemy. It was working. They were falling back. I had joined Morsey on his right. I was eager to put my men to action

How it ended
I continued west. I had seen the enemy. I would flank them. I managed to line up my artillery and started to blast the enemy. I felt confident. I sent my infantry to flank the enemy. It was all to much for the enemy. They withdrew from the field. We were victorious

I have my artillery lined up nicely. My infantry has been set to flank the enemy from my right.

This was a win for the French. All 4 human players worked well as the French Corps.
