I downloaded everything while at work & put it on a flash drive. Now I am chomping at the bit to get home.  8)

Unfortunately tonight is my wifes works Christmas party so I wont be home until late  :'( But at least they will have an open bar!

Well I got it installed & working & even managed to bring down a couple of Spads on a quick combat.

I had some trouble with the install initially. Ended up reinstalling it 3 times before I got everything working. I am tired & a little hung over though so thats my excuse LOL

If I had RTFM 1st wouldnt have had a single problem. On my last install I actually did read it & discovered that I had not installed DX9 & it was causing the game to crash when I clicked on fly.

I have obviously barely scratched the surface on this sim but I can tell I am going to have a great deal of fun with this! As Stardog said its all about the immersion & this sim has it in spades! I love the UI, its very nostalgic & really does a great job of putting you in a period mindset.

So far I really dont have any cons to say about it. The graphics arent up to say RoF standards but that is to be expected. They are still very nice & do a great job of "putting you there". I will have to say its harder then RoF to shoot down planes. For me anyway. The tracers arent as obvious so harder to see & I havent completely figured out where to aim yet. My solution on the 2 Spads was to get CLOSE! From what I can tell of the AARs it seems like bringing planes down is easier then RoF at least insofar as number of hits (both planes took less than 20hits but I expended around 150rds to get those 20 hits). It seems like I get ALLOT of hits on RoF planes before they come down.

Anyway I am delighted with it & looking forward to digging into it! I will start posting screen shots etc once I get my key bindings figured out & get more comfortable in the sim.

1) Wingbreak sound now fixed.  When wings depart you will now hear the fact,  although the spinning down to your death usually gives it away.

Sopwith Pup – fixed emitter location sounds for Wing rip.
Se5a - top left wing upper surface had a glitch – fixed.
Se5a Viper - fixed DM of left wing tip
Bristol Scout  - improved Lewis gun back handle as seen in Virtual Cockpit
Albatros DIII, DIII early, DIII OAW, DV, DV later, DVa, DVa200. Gear (wheels) DM changes - various.

3) Small reduction in player flight cruise speed to help player's ability to keep up in mixed aircraft type flights when he is not leader

1) Fokker EI and some other craft were not always presented in the claims list despite still flying at that time - fixed.

2) Credits Interviews now play as intended.

3) Loading Splash screen is now shown for those with a black screen showing before the loading screen was shown.  On slower machines you may also see this on returning to the WOFF menu to indicate something is happening.

4) All Albatros aircraft were sitting too high off the ground, fixed.  Fokker DR1 also fixed.

Version 4.04 4241

1) ViewUI.xml will no longer be written every time WOFFUE starts. So now custom F5 dial settings will be retained. 

Note on installing this patch and running WOFF UE for the first time, the viewui.xml will be set to default (this controls F5 dials view and other view settings).
However if you then move the position of your dials in F5 view etc, the settings will be retained from then on.

1) Added two more Regional Air Activity settings in workshops for players with better PCs. 
Note: Increasing this setting will increase the number of flights in the players region, but it will also cost PC performance and so lower your FPS (frames per second), especially in time acceleration mode.
2) Fixed an issue with the Float View that had the players aircraft too low in the view.

1) Fixed an issue whereby Historical Weather would sometimes set up no rain for light and medium precipitation.
2) Fixed an error in the 1916 global layer - a town facility was not represented by a damaged type to suit the land class.
3) Fixed the main menu screen to correct for DPI settings greater than 100.  Note Microsoft no longer recommend using DPI or font scaling adjustments as many programs do not operate correctly.
