BISim Receives “Best Programs” Award and Recognition as Top Simulation and Training Company

Orlando, FL  — Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), a global developer of military training and simulation software, was recognized with a Red Ribbon for ‘Best Programs’ by Military Training International (MTI) magazine. In its 21st year, MTI also included Bohemia Interactive Simulations among its annual “2016 Top Simulation & Training Companies” list, recognizing companies that have made “made a significant impact in the military training industry throughout the current fiscal year.”

Out of hundreds of companies, 91 were selected for inclusion in MTI’s “2016 Top Simulation & Training Companies” list. BISim was one of seven companies to receive an award for “Best Programs.” BISim’s sister company TerraSim also was included in the list.

“We appreciate the recognition from the industry for best programs. Virtual Battlespace is used by hundreds of thousands of military personnel worldwide for training and simulation,” said Arthur Alexion, BISim’s Co-CEO. “VBS3 has achieved this widespread use in large part because our customers work closely with our developers to continuously enhance VBS3 with state-of-the-art features and capabilities that delivered high-quality training results.”

VBS3 provides an immersive virtual environment that helps soldiers train on tactics, rehearse for missions, and practice standard operating procedures. With its After Action Review tool, the software is designed to help soldiers learn to think, make decisions and improve communications before heading to the field for live exercises. VBS3 is used for tactical training and mission rehearsal on desktop computers as well as part-task trainers and full-mission simulators.

VBS is used in more than 30 countries by military organizations such as the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, UK Ministry of Defence, Australian Defence Force, French Armed Forces, Bundeswehr, Swedish Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces, and New Zealand Defense Force.
