Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943 - The Principle of Mass

Tanks, open desert. Infantry is optional.

One fine morning in Africa and I'm in command of a US tank battalion. And some infantry that I left at the line of departure. The Germans, dug in some two Km from my tanks. With a mix of medium tanks and support vehicles, they chose to control the objective with their fires rather than with their tracks.

Contact didn't come cheap. The armored tip of our spear got hit with a long range shot.

This platoon got two tanks hit and had a hard time locating the Germans. A small rise in the terrain isolated the US platoon from the rest of the battalion. The principle of mass took a vacation from our movement to contact and the consequences were evident.

Just Flight & P3D V4

Statement by Justflight today on their FB page:

"If you've seen the recent announcements about Prepar3D V4, you may be wondering if Just Flight will be updating their content to run in this 64-bit version of P3D.

For several months we have been working with Lockheed Martin to evaluate what work is required to produce V4 compatibility updates for our existing product range. We are aiming to release compatibility updates for some of our recent and popular releases shortly. These will be available free-of-charge in the form of updated product installers.

Meanwhile, for future titles and those that are still in development, we'll be looking into developing 'native' V4 products that will take full advantage of the new features available in the simulator, in addition to continuing our support for the FSX and P3D v1/2/3 platforms.

Chains of War - DLC/Standalone for Command Modern Air Naval Operations

155 mm shells crossing the waters towards enemy targets near Yonan, Krangyong and Changyong. Our eclectic hunter killer group of aging Type 214s and 209-1200s can't locate a radar contact just a handful of miles south of the island of Chodo. Two North Korean vessels (hopefully just gunboats) just sailed out of the Sagot naval dock. Our Block 52 F-16CJs had unleashed a handful of AGM-88B missiles against SAM defenses opposite our installations in Yeonpyeong Island. A flight of North Korean Mig-23s is flying south from Pukchang, rabid for a kill.

Yes! We now have detailed aircraft damage modelled into the engine.

This DLC is a bit unusual because it is a standalone with the full game engine or a DLC if you already own CMANO.

The campaign is well designed, entertaining and challenging. You get to play as the USN, the USAF, the Chinese Armed Forces and the South Korean Armed Forces. Watch out for a massive/mega scenario ("Okinawa Bound") that features amphibious landings. It's a 3 day monster that will require some thoughtful play from you.

There are also 4 bonus scenarios, ranging from battles...
