About This Game

SCALES

WarPlan Pacific uses the same game system as WarPlan Europe with additional features and improvements. The game covers all the nations at war in the Pacific theatre from December 1941 to 1945.

The game's scale is massive, covering 62 different potential countries, in a map large 50 miles / 80km per hex using a modified Mercator map scaling to allow a flowing game that doesnt overload the player. The land scale is 15k - 60k men, air scale is 300-400 aircraft and naval scale is 1 capital ship + support ships.

The map is Hex based, with 15 different types of terrains subdivided into sizes with each different features including motorized and non-motorized movement, airfield capacity, and defensive bonuses; 12 different resource types with new city images, 5 different strategic resources.

Nuclear war simulator is a detailed realistic simulation and visualization of large-scale nuclear conflicts with a focus on humanitarian consequences. There are currently over 13000 nuclear weapons on this planet of which over 9000 are in military stockpiles. This software should help you answer the question: what will happen if Russia and the United States or India and Pakistan use their arsenals?

You can design warheads, missiles and carries, place them on the map and execute attack plans to tell a credible story about how nuclear conflicts play out and what are the consequences. Using a high-resolution population density map and realistic weapons effects like blast, heat and radiation you can make an estimate of how many people will die in a conflict.

Battle of Alvern by ben


1) SITUATION:

a) Enemy:
Soviet Mechanized infantry Battalion is approaching the town of Gockenholz to the South.
Enemy forward detatchment of T64.
Enemy main body is mix of BMP and BTR supported by T64 and T55.
Expected enemy course of action is to perform a hasty attack on OBJ1 the village of Alvern.

b) Own:
3 Platoons Infantry with M113A2
1 Platoon M1A1
1 Platoon M966 TOW HMMWV
1 Platoon HMMWV .50cal scouts


2) MISSION:

Secure and Hold OBJ1 for 1 hour.


3) EXECUTION:

Proceed as you see fit.


4) FIRE SUPPORT:

A battery of M109 on map Artillery is available with HE Smoke and ICM.


Notes:

The enemy commander will react diferently according to the situation, for replayability.

Weather is light rain and visiblity 2KM.

Infantry squads have Dragon and AT4.

You must have force superiority in OBJ1 at H+1 hour.


Scoring:

65 points for controling OBJ1 at mission end.
25 points for survival of your forces.
10 bonus points for destroying all enemy vehicles.
