Hosting for Steel Beasts online sessions

All future SB missions will be hosted by me. My internet is 100/25. I will hopefully have a dedicated server soon. However we need a list of people who can host if I have an issue. We have a dedicated server license for our group. So please step up if you think you can host.

Do you have?
•   A stable connection
•   Hardware which is suitable

I am in, my Dedicated server 24h on and is in Atlanta on the direct InterNAP Backnone.

Ever consider setting up an Amazon AWS virtual server?  It could be on-demand and only used when needed and would cost around $1USD per hour. Just throwing that out there as an option.  It's only expensive if you leave it on 24/7, but if it hosted SB only, then that would not be necessary.

This would be the only way forward with your server if we used it.

We normally do ok with hosting. However it is a question of the host's reliability. We have seen this in our Arma server as well as the SB one.

I prefer not to be first in line. I stated my reasons at the meeting.

We do need cooperation and participation from our group with this otherwise it might have a negative impact on our sessions.

I will take first on the list, and if I know I will not make it, I will try to give 24hr notice to Asid, and at least day of the event. I usually let you all know when I have planned events, with more notice then that.

guys i would host in a heart beat but my connection still drops as i don't have hard wire system wifi sucks as its SKY

We need to organise a simple system so that if someone on the list cannot host then the others know.

Will how I have been handling it is to first post on the mission that I will not be there, and then I message the three other people on the list that I won't be there.
