Title: Manning List for Large Mission Fulda GAP
Post by: Cougar11 on October 15, 2015, 10:42:36 PM: We have a large mission that has been put together. Due to its size, and the need for players being around 10 at the minimum, I am creating a manning roster for this mission. The date that we will play it will depend on how many can sign up for the week. I will keep moving the date from week to week till we have enough to do it.

DATES Please sign up for the first date on the list. I will post for a new date if the 1st one does not work.

It is August. 1991. The Soviet military's coup against reformer Mikhael Gorbachev has succeeded and Boris Yeltsin was captured at the White House, whereabouts currently unknown. The Generals decided to see how much of Western Europe they could conquer prior to the arrival of substantial reinforcements from the United States, thereby allowing them to bargain from a position of strength. The Soviet 8th Guards Army is heading for Frankfurt, and a poorly prepared NATO, which had reduced readiness in the light of Gorbachev's Glasnost is being pushed back faster than SACEUR's worst nightmare.

If we do not have 10+ players signed up, I will be selecting a different mission for this Saturday. If it seems that this will be a continuing thing, I will open the dates for the Sunday missions as well.

I can as well on this weekend... just let me know and I will come. I Won't leave you guys alone.

I can take any units. Perhaps some Scimitars or other pcs / IFVs I like light units and infantry. ^^

Post by: Cougar11 on October 22, 2015, 08:15:56 PM: The issue is not the total number of players, but the total number of Bluefor players in mission. Currently we have 6 plus 2 red force players. 6 players taking control of 4 companies is a little much, especially if they are not comfortable taking multiple platoons for each person.
As of right now if we cannot get 8 Bluefor, and the two red force players we will push the mission. I would like to play this, but I want it to be fun and immersive as well, and not be overwhelmed by the amount of units I am controlling.

Post by: Cougar11 on October 29, 2015, 08:58:05 PM: Ok here we go. Looks like if we get both Assassin and Durham we will have 11. I know Assassin has Halloween issues, and it is possible I will as well. I am guessing Durham will be there.

The question now is do we put it off for Assassin, and possibly me due to him being on the red side, and that we could possibly drop to only 9 players with only 1 on the red side?

As of right now I am going to post a different mission tonight after work, and if we can get all 11 of us on like those that have posted, we will run with Fulda and put the mission I am going to post for the next weekend.

Let me know your thoughts by 2300 US CST.

I should, but winter, and weather may cause that it would be more smart not to push oneself too much to risky driving. So... put there question mark after me, because I might not be able to make it after all.

Though I'm not on either list (#6 doesn't count) I don't know if I'll be able to make it. My schedule on Saturdays has become fraught with football and soccer games for three of my kids that I go to. The times vary from weekend to weekend...as do the travel requirements.

For this mission from here on out, we will play it whenever we have 9 players other than Durham and Assassin who will be playing the OPFOR side for a total of 11 to include Sunday missions if we believe the players in the Sunday mission can handle playing it.

We are looking at having a few members of UK Armor VU join us to play the British side of the Fulda mission.

I need to make sure we will have enough of our people to play the other companies for this mission.

Which ever day has the best turn out for both UKA and DOW will be picked.
I will post missions as soon as I know from all of you about your status.
